Minecraft Date Night gets the distinction of being one of the oldest date night games we play. Long before the two of us met I used to play tons of Minecraft with my brother, but it was my boyfriend who showed me there was more to life than just building dirt castles. Nowadays Minecraft Date Night is a rabbit hole we go tumbling into every couple of months when we get the itch to break blocks and work on our 64 times tables.

I'm going to keep saying it. I love the effort put into these videos. All the voice over is perfectly paired with the in game footage to better illustrate what is being said. I really appreciate actually going back in, creating a setup to show what happened (mining the quartz, going down the separate tunnels, burning down the house, reactions from Animal Crossings, inefficient enchantment, ect). Great video!

It is crazy to me how some people can just build for 3-4 hours straight in this game. The majority of my stuff comes out resembling the leaning tower of piza just due to how unsymmetrical and lopsided they all are, and then I turn around and see someone made a working calculator without using command blocks. Despite what you may say, the builds in the video are all very impressive. Them being unfinished just adds character.

You may want to consider:
- /gamerule keepInventory true (Keep your inventory and experience on death)
- /gamerule mobGriefing false (Mobs don't cause terrain damage; though this does also disable a few useful interactions like villagers farming and snow golems producing snow)
- /gamerule doFireTick false (Fire neither spreads nor burns out on its own)
Personally I like using the first two but not the third; but that's all up to personal taste.
It's a rare joy to stumble upon a channel before it blows up. It means I can do the "I watched them before it was cool."-shtick.

You know... you could make Fire Resistance potions and never have to worry about lava again, right? Or make a full set of Netherite armor and shrug off fire like it's nothing. Not trying to be snotty or anything, just trying to save your diamonds. :)

In our games, my GF would be the one fighting dragons while I collect endstone to build my pet llamas a mini castle. I love our dynamic.

There's a command(I don't remember it off the top of my head but it should googling should get it pretty quick) where you can change the percent of active players needed to sleep to make it day, so you can set it to 50 and only boyfriend would have to sleep
found it; playersSleepingPercentage 50 should do it. If commands aren't enabled then you should be able to do it from the world settings

Yeah. Magic, Infinite portable storage, dragons, pokemon, etc.
I can only muster to play minecolonies modpack, call me a RTS scrub or what ever, but I enjoy sitting back and watch someone else build my village around me where I come in with a few finishing touches. (And I enjoy Direwolf20, which has a little bit of everything... so being a steam punk mage on top of a town leader always seems fun to me.)
Tip for building fireplaces in Minecraft: Use Campfires, the fire doesn't spread.
