10 men dead as train derails violently along Abbotswood Junction.

Luckily as its a freight train only the three man crew was involved - guard badly shaken, driver and second man unscathed. No damage that a tube of glue wont fix....

Nope afraid not is a class 43. Known as North British Warship as opposed to class 42 Swindon warship. Class 43 had 2 x MAN v12s driving through 3 stage Voith transmission - Class 42 had 2 x Maybach v12s driving through Mekydro transmissions. Bad news is no Class 43s survived - sound file is actually from a 42 - two survivors of that class. Good news is that a MAN engine has been rescued from a scrapyard and may be installed in one of the survivors soon so we may have the correct sound in future

That sounds like a lot of work! What track are you using? We have no lengths longer than 4ft without a feed as all our boards are 4ft wide and each has its own track feeds. Did originally have problems when I used standard DIN leads to conenct between boards - they were too small and caused voltage loss - had to replace them with leads I made up myself using mains cable following andvice from Andi Dell. So DCC can be fickle!
