I think the material in the toe box is called fuse. TPU is plastic, mainly used for support in the heel like in the Kobe 6.
It’s a TPU film overlay on top of the mesh. TPU has variations, as it comes in thicker types usually used for structural rigidity, as in heel cups or counters. It also comes in film types, such as the one you have in the toebox of the AE 2.

The silhouette of the AE2 so far doesn’t look great in my opinion, but man the colorways are 🔥 But in all fairness, we’ll have to wait for the final design to actually release before sharing opinions. I’ll probably wait for performance reviews, if anything, before I cop them. Because I don’t think they’re all that cool looking.
I hope they won't be heavier than EA1.
I've liked them since they first leaked. I honestly might like them more than the 1s but i need to see on feet images. I think both models have knocked it out of the park though.
From a ball players perspective, this looks great and the traction looks super reliable as the AE1s were the truth. I understand that the AE1 was very versatile on and off court, but this shoes look like it’s performance will be better than any shoe on the market.
Hopefully so, as its performance could be its saving grace.

At first I didn't care for em but I'd get down on those bred ones. Those r my favorite colors and I love me some weird kicks. So yeah ill definitely cop a pair.

The new design language that Adidas is creating is sensational, out of the ordinary and conventional, AE 2 excellent design, we need to see the performance on the court.
