I´m 61 and i normally listen to prog. Just discovered this band and i´m excited.
Edenbridge is the best symphonic (power) metal band with female fronted alongside Nightwish, Epica and Within Temptation. Unfortunately I never saw their live performance in the grand stand like WOA etc. This band deserves more recognition.

Hey guys. I have been involved with Edenbridge since 2008. This newest project is called DYNAMIND after the dynamind super inner healing technique that you can google search on. This band has always avoided dramas and tabloid exploits ans has always kept its music onto postive themes. Although these guys may not quite be the super master composers of music some are more critical of, they are older than Nightwish but basically a year and have more complete albums.
Sabine Eidelsbacher in my mind is a very solid singer and some of her work is stellar if you go back to The Wild Chase, The Bonding album, and Arcana.Lanvall is a world class guitarist and works very hard to incorprate old veteran elements and sounds in with much newer ones. I can almost always detect 70s & 80s rifts and chords in much of their music as he/they are music students of all genres and eras.
These guys hob nob every year on the famous metal cruise with some of the greatest bands of the past eras. Their overall library is excellent.

@@KairiHeavenly I think the heavier distorted guitar sound (artificially so, it seems) is the culprit for the "modern" EDENBRIDGE missing that old charm, even while sounding definitely like themselves. I mean, Sabine's easily recognizable vocals and the melodic songwriting are ever strong. But listen to Lanvall's dreamy, almost cosmic, riffs and leads in much of their early work (and his solo albums, if you can get your hands on them!) and compare.
Really, the songs where they venture into that familiar territory with their melodies are the most memorable today... I know, change (development) is generally preferable to routine, but not necessarily when a band wows with a sound specific all to themselves from the beginning, and gradually departs from it.

It has their sound alright - Edenbridge have a very consistent musical identity and tone. They are a great example of positivity in metal and I know a few people who dislike heavy metal but who find this sound approachable. Also... "Visual appearance: Sabine Edelsbacher" is a pretty funny credit. I think they would have been better off with more natural footage and less CGI hallways and light sources.

The CGI is perhaps a bit too much, and some of the lyrics are a bit generic/odd But. Edenbridge has never been well known for their high quality music videos, and I think that the lyrics might ”grow” after a while 😉 What matters is: Its a new Edenbridge song, with a fresh twist and I will listen to it, probably too much. Looking forward to the new album! 👏👏👏

With the whole fem metal genre on the fringes of dying out before our eyes, we must be much more mindful and appreciate the long and hard efforts of bands like this. I dont quite know of many new bands outside of The Dark Element /Anette Olzon that really have that grab you type thing going for them. You might like strolling through the 300 fem rock/metal bands past & present I compiled for a non commericalized artist support effort = TOTALLY FEM METAL CHANNEL.
I still have another 300 of these bands I could add, so it is way past the old standards like NIghtwish by some measure and many are really excellent.

I hate to say it, but you're right on. The last 2 albums were very much the same as each other. Really good stuff, but nothing different. This is a good track, but still nothing new.
