And yes he's a Tenor.. his voice is that high it sounds like falsetto at times!
Those transitions/switch he's doing are called Glissando!
Glissando is so much easier to transition between notes as a Tenor i do it all the time because it sounds amazing and allows me very easy access to my head voice.
