    The 2024-25 season will be one hell of a season. You can just feel it. It’ll be tough, for sure, but some will have it tougher than most. You know why? The pressure will be much worse on them than anybody else! You want to know who those guys are? Come with us.
    These are 10 footballers or coaches who will be under crazy pressure next season.
    We’ll start with Kylian Mbappé. The Frenchman has finally been announced as a Real Madrid player and he received the warmest welcome from the club, the fans, and his new teammates. This is a big move by all ramifications, and as we know, big moves usually come with big pressure. But the pressure on Mbappe next season would be crazier than normal, and here’s why

    Now that Kylian Mbappe is at Real Madrid, a lot of people think that Lamine Yamal of Barcelona will try and disrupt their superteam. That puts a lot of pressure on him because he is an exceptional player especially for how young he is and he has the potential of being the next big superstar, I wouldn’t put his name anywhere close to the same sentence as Lionel Messi and we should try to focus on him slowly developing and maturing with steady progress.
    After his breakout season there’s going to be a lot more expectations on him to be better. One of the potential issues he has going into next season and we’ve seen this with a lot of young players at Barcelona lately is the fact that at the age of 16 in his first full season as a professional footballer, he played over 50 games and in La Liga played 37 out of 38 games. As good as he is he was a starter towards the 2nd half of the season, at his age, he shouldn’t be playing that much and he still has the EUROs to play for this summer where he’s probably going to start for Spain as he’ll play a lot and we know that they don’t really protect their young players as we saw with (Pedri Gavi and Ansu Fati) and they should avoid overplaying him and then going to the Olympics after the tournament. There is a possibility that he could be burned out by the time he turns 17 years old, just like Pedri. I’m excited to see what Yamal can do next season, I just hope that he hasn’t been ran into the ground already.

      When an out of prime Leandowksi can score 33 goals for a weak barcelona team in his debut season then I can't see how Mbappe in his Prime wouldn't be able to get at least 40

      @@BLACKSTA361 Let’s be clear him and Ronaldo’s situation are not the same lol. Ronaldo joined after a failed Galicticos era, so RM had not yet established a new identity, which made it more easier for Ronaldo to become Madrid’s established star. Not to mention that Ronaldo at 25 was more complete than Mbappe, and had less competition on his squad. This Madrid team already has a well established system and players. They’re not going to bend it for a player who played games for like 5 years in the transfer window, he’ll be a great contributor to the system, but he will never be the system.

    I think that next season and in the future, Arsenal needs to start winning trophies if people are to properly treat them like a serious club. With how well of a job Mikel Arteta has done at Arsenal in recent seasons there is much more expectations on this team because as he went from an 8th place finish in his first 2 seasons to being in title race in the Premier League in back to back seasons and also made it to the champions league quarterfinals for the first time since 2010. Last season despite having more wins than the Invisibles (28 wins), unbeaten against the top 6 in the Premier League, least goals conceded, ended the season with 14 wins in their last 16 games securing 43 points in that period, Arsenal failed to win the title even though they had 89 points and in any other season that would’ve been enough for them to win the Premier League if they weren’t going up against Pep Guardiola’s juggernaut of Manchester City who find ways to win titles even when they’re not at their best and have an unmatched winning mentality.
    Apart from Manchester City who’ve won 4 consecutive Premier League titles in a row and won a treble 12 months ago, in the last 3 years Chelsea Liverpool and even Manchester United have a trophy or 2, meanwhile under Arteta Arsenal have won 1 major trophy which was the FA Cup, by the way nobody counts the Community Shield. Whatever you think of them, when these guys weaken, Arsenal are the closest team that can truly end Manchester City’s dominance in the Premier League and they have to win something because progress, unfortunately you’ll be remembered for winning trophies as history removes the winners, they don’t remember a team that finished 2nd even though teams have gone trophy less even after playing so well and it seems like nowadays a 2nd place finish is more successful than a team that actually won a trophy. In Arsenal’s case with more expectations on them now than there was 3-4 years ago, it gets to a point where in a season they’ll be judged by the amount of trophies they win.

    Cole Palmer has to show to everyone that he’s the real deal and what he did last season wasn’t a fluke. The guy went from being a benchwarmer at Manchester City to someone who took the premier league by storm in his first full season as a regular at Chelsea. He had the best individual season especially since on a dysfunctional team that can’t settle on a manager, he had 25 goals and 16 assists 41 G/A in all competitions and had the most goals and assists combined in the premier league while playing on a weaker team compared to other superstars like Kylian Mbappe Harry Kane Jude Bellingham Vinicius Junior Phil Foden etc. . He is the only reason why Chelsea secured European football and finished 6th in the league as without him they would’ve finished in the bottom half of the table. After one elite season, there’s a certain section of Chelsea fans who think that he’s world class and is better than Phil Foden Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham and is close to the same level as them because last season he had the edge over them numbers wise considering the team he was playing on, but he has to show to everyone next season that this isn’t a purple patch and he’s not a “one season wonder”. Some downplay his performances because he scored a lot of penalties and think that he’s this good because he played on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City when he wasn’t good enough to get in the City team and with Chelsea going through yet another managerial change, hopefully it doesn’t affect his form because when teams change managers, remember that styles and systems are different and Palmer has to remain ice cold.

    Hansi Flick is under a lot of pressure to bring back success to Barcelona and if he doesn’t, he’ll get scrutinized and everyone will say that sacking Xavi was a mistake and will say that he deserved more time. They’re coming off the back of a trophy less season and while Barcelona are getting weaker, Real Madrid is getting stronger since after winning the Champions League they now have Mbappe in that squad and they’re expected to compete in every competition they’re in and win almost everything. What he did at Bayern Munich doesn’t guarantee success at Barcelona and I’m not saying that because of his poor track record with the Germany national team, I mean club level and international football is so different, you’re coaching a team that isn’t as good as the one you managed 4 years ago.
    Regardless of their financial situation, they have more than enough talent to try and compete with this Madrid team and Barca need to worry about their own team first. They’re capable of competing in La Liga and at least getting deeper in the champions league with this manager in charge. The transfer window will be critical for Flick in terms of recruitment what players are they getting, what players will they move on and that’s the first step freshening up the squad and getting the right players who suit the way he wants this team to play. It’s not just that, he’ll find out that being the manager of Barcelona isn’t as easy as you think it is especially since not only do you have to win trophies, you have to win the “Barcelona way” and if he doesn’t, the fans will go against the manager for not getting them to play an attractive brand of football even though they have a lot of talent to do so. Depending on who he relies on, Barcelona under Hansi Flick are capable of doing better than what we saw from them last season and under Xavi in general.

  • @tobaepebinuade5830
    @tobaepebinuade5830 Před 24 dny

    No matter how he plays next season, all the eyes will be on Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid. Last season, without a proper striker, they won La Liga and the Champions League and have since added Mbappe to the team and many people expect them to win almost every trophy of every competition they compete in and think that they’ll build a dynasty and be the first ever team to win 4 champions league titles in a row or finally win a treble. Just a reminder that having good players doesn’t always correlate into a world class team. Let’s say they win 2 trophies next season and Mbappe underperforms he’s going to get criticized for not contributing enough to the team.
    Imagine if he has a brilliant season Mbappe scores 40-45+ goals in all competitions, they go trophy less or they either win La Liga and get knocked out of the Champions League in the RD of 16 or quarterfinals, all the talk will be about “whether or not Real Madrid are a better team without Mbappe”, people will say they didn’t need him, and he ruined the balance of the team. They’ll bring up the fact that they were winning the champions league before they signed him and after he joined, they are a different team. The narrative around him can change so quickly if he’s not playing well or if he’s scoring goals and the team as a whole doesn’t look as good as it looked before they signed Mbappe and depending on the trophies they win, he’ll get criticism.

    Next season is a make or break season for Darwin Nunez at Liverpool. No player in the premier league divides more opinion than him and some people see him as a chaotic player who causes problems for opposing defenders and he is a threat with his pace speed strength and how he’s able to create space for his teammates, on the other hand, you have a 75 million striker who can’t put the ball in back of the net to save his life. There is a CZcams compilation of the amount of chances that he’s missed in front of goal and I don’t know if it’s a confidence issue or he’s just that bad at finishing, he has massively underperformed his expected goals and in the last 2 seasons he has missed the most big chances out of any player in the premier league and has hit the crossbar a lot and always finds himself offside. There are people who are losing patience with him and believe that they need to sell him and he’ll never be good enough to be a starting striker on a team that wants to compete for trophies.
    Don’t push this narrative that he’ll be scoring 40+ goals a season if he was on Manchester City instead of Liverpool because he plays on team that creates a lot of chances and other players scored more goals than him and they played on much more weaker teams. He would do a good job on a team that is fighting for a top 4 spot, but when it comes down to games where the team really needs to win, he’s not that sort of striker that can push you over the finish line when you’re in a title race. While he’s been struggling in front of goal for Liverpool, with the Uruguay national team he has scored 8 goals in his last 5 games for his country. Imagine if he has a good Copa America with Uruguay, can he do better at finishing under Arne Slot because if he doesn’t deliver next season, Liverpool will sell him.
