    If you coated and sealed the wood Before the carpet was put on, god-knows-how-long it Really would last LOL great stuff thanks for posting

      He said “pressure treated” lumber. No need to coat it since it will be covered with carpet. LOL

      Would not recommend seailing wood then poking a bunch of holes in it

    I run my boat in a saltwater environment. I think the staples would rust and come off. Do you recommend another alternative?
