    It's really interesting to see how much attention they are both paying to Gerards words. Most often when I watch these videos they are half listening and also taking queues from each other and the production team but in this case they are hanging on his every word 👏

      The man won the Champions League at BOTH Manchester United and Barcelona. He won the Euros and World Cup. He was part of the greatest club team we've ever seen. What's there not to admire. Pique's football credentials are incredible

    Rio's legacy as the greatest CB in Premier League history doesn't get the recognition it deserves because his world class performances became regular occurrences after a while. People took his world class performances for granted because they saw his brilliance ever so often. It was almost routine to see a classy performance from Rio. Plus he was blessed with an incredible burst of pace

      I get why people loved Terry especially with his 'heart on his sleeve type' of defending plus the accolades but Rio made defending look easy whilst Terry made it look like hard work.

    The best not greatest but best defender to play in the EPL is Stam.
    The best campaign of a defender in history of the EPL is Van Dijk 2016/17, that season is why Liverpool bought him for a lot of money

      VVDs ballon D’Or level campaign was great. That was his 11/10 campaign. Rio was an 8-10/10 for about 6 years (thus his 6PL trophies). Would never exchange that ultra consistency for the world.

    People dont realise that Ferdinand got poorer as his career went on. Once he lost a bit of pace, he was never the same. John Terry for me.

    • @simplyballing1592
      @simplyballing1592 Před 2 měsíci +2

      That's because Sir Alex Ferguson was addicted to attacking football. Ferguson would often expect his CBs to defend one versus one. Terry had the luxury of playing with defense minded coaches like Jose Mourinho who had players like Matic and Makalele protecting him. Terry's lack of pace was a massive red flag
