Your opponent having spears in your base in early feudal IS a perfect situation for mangudai, even with them not being very good. Even a single mangudai with khan can fend off any number of spears. You should try it!
I love playing Mongols, but I feel like they need some Eco buffs outside of trading. I also hate the idea of Tower Rushing, feels so cheese. What do you think?
I didn't like tower rush either but it actually feels really smooth with Mongols. Think of the tower as a buffing pillar for your keshiks/archers. Having the movement speed buff close to your opponents base feels great. A slight eco buff would be nice tho. But I actually think Mongols are a strong civ. Their feudal/castle age feels really strong
@@ForggeEsportsNutrition Trading is a mandatory move. Gold for keshik or mangudai (depends on enemy composition) and prepare transition for fast imperial (get the free unit landmark) . Also build second TC if needed for food / wood production Try to annoy enemy by harass peon and pillar building, struggle them if their fast castle (dont let them take second mine spot and relic) Mongol are the best civ in the game, so flexible and efficient

The problem is that you can make 2 feudal mangudai for 140 supply + stone or make like 6 archers for the same amount of food + little wood.
