• पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह 1971 में वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय में आर्थिक सलाहकार के तौर पर नियुक्त
• मनमोहन सिंह के कार्यकाल में रघुराम राजन बनाये गये उनके मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार
• आरबीआई के पूर्व गवर्नर बिमल जालान और उर्जित पटेल भी लेटरल एंट्री से आये
•लाल बहादुर शास्त्री ने डॉ. वर्गीज कुरियन को NDDB का चेयरमैन बनाया
• मोंटेक सिंह अहलूवालिया, शंकर आचार्य, राकेश मोहन, अरविंद विरमानी और अशोक देसाई जैसे कई लोग लेटरल एंट्री के जरिए आये
