Hmmm, I wonder how this would be as a scalp scrub/shampoo!! It looks great as a scalp scrub!
Also, I tried SCI today for the first time, but I didn't use water, only glycerin. My phase A didn't have enough liquid either and I freaked out. So I used half of the SCI and increased my oils. 😅 However, I noticed that my emulsion did not mix well. So I froze it and used a hand mixer. In this case, I made my first foaming scrub. 😊

I truly love your creations😍😍😍😍. I have to ask, why did you weigh Phase A with the stirring rod in the beaker? That wouldn't give you an accurate measurement reading since it is calculating the weight of the stirring rod and the liquid together. So your measurements would be off.

Fun!! When making sugar scrub recipes, do you include the sugar percentage in the total 100% formulation? Or do you decide what percentage of sugar you want, and multiply it by the total weight of the batch you made? Does that make sense?

Are these ingredients safe? I actually buy foaming scrubs from a company I found on IG and I love it, but I didn’t realize it requires ingredients that I can barely pronounce (Phase B). I am sure it is safe, but it was something that came to mind. I love your videos btw. I am learning a lot about how to make skincare, so I appreciate the content.
If you were making a one scent scrub, would you use 3grams of scent or 9grams, since you used 3 x 3grams

I made mine a few years ago but I used the SCI noodles instead and she is right, it is much thicker, and I love thicker scrub. Great video
I have the noodles too, but never tried using those. Probably much easier to weigh out. The powder goes everywhere.

I was wondering why phase A and phase B can’t be combined before weighing and heating then topping up the evaporated water. It seems like they get heated and added together with the stearic acid anyway. Or would it make the sci and coco betaine get bubbly?
it would make them too bubbly. that’s why we keep the water away from those two ingredients until we mix the stearic acid and water.

Hey Grace, thanks so much for enjoying my content. I’m really glad I can help inspire you 🥰 I’m sorry to hear your asthma makes it difficult for you to formulate.
You are able to formulate without a mask. I would stick with ingredients that’s aren’t in powder form though. Which still leaves a lot of ingredients that you could use instead. You can make body butter, scrubs, face washes, body washes and many other things without powdered ingredients.
Unfortunately you do need a mask for this formula though.
It also would be a good idea to talk to a doctor to see if they have advice on anything similar to a mask that would be more breathable for you

Those formulas are to the products I used to sell, so yeah, you do have to buy the formula and I don’t think they are over priced. If they are over priced to you then you don’t need to buy them. I have 100’s of formulas for free.
