I'm a social researcher looking into gang violence and must say: no Latin Kings (both Chicago Chapter and most importantly NYC Nation), no Trinitarios (NYC/NJ), Los Zetas (Laredo/Nuevo Laredo) to name just a few and putting Bloods and Crips together (while Bloods have both presence in West Coast but also 10x as much in NYC and all East Coast) on the same spot are some pretty grave mistakes.
While Yakuza is not really a gang per se but more of an organization that minds their own business until disrespected and Mongols are mostly known for violence against other biker groups primarly some of the above just kill or mutilate for fun of it (like NYC Bloods and their so called "buck fifty" ritual). Not to mention the highly armed and trained Zetas who have no problems making an "El Guiso" from civilians or rivals if crossed and assasinations on US soil.
As much as it's important to educate people about gangs this material needs, imho, some serious revision.

So chances are most of these gangs have hundreds of thousands more than actually listed here. @GhostSal Před 2 lety +48

The list is interesting but to include a gang like the Simon City Royals and leave out much larger gangs that are capable of far more víolence and other activities is surprising to say the least.
For example the Latin Kings which have members across the US, Central and South America as well as Europe (with an estimated 43000 members in the US alone). 18th Street is another that is way more dangerous than SCRs, they are spread out across different countries too and around 65000 members worldwide.
Other organizations too were excluded when SCRs were on the list. The Sicilian Mafia for example. While they aren’t in the headlines much anymore, they are still one of the most powerful organizations in the world. Another is the Outlaws MC, with over 176 chapters across the world they are definitely a group not to mess with.
I’m not say SCRs aren’t growing, they are, but top 10??? Not yet, maybe they will get there, maybe they won’t but definitely not top 10 right now. I can think of at least 15 other organizations not on this list ahead of them. Also, the size of the gang is just part of the equation to estimating strength and influence.

Then there's the other FACT that the Folks & People paradigms were started because of who? SCR, when they allied with BGD in 1978/79 during a series of warehouse meetings, forming the Folks alliance as we came to know it in the 80s, and then of course spawned the response from the Poples alliance
