I'm 82...been a Merle fan about 60 years....saw many concerts, met him an Bonnie..took pictures with them ..got a lot of Hag items autographed..got to go backstage at a local concert...I'm old now...but I still have my Merle memories...miss him...
You are very fortunate to have those memories. I'm nearly 60 and right behind you. It sucks to get old but his music comforts. I think his youngest son sounds the best
There's nothing like sharing great art with the artist. The day will come when you will hear Merle perform live again. Hank, Johnny, and Lefty will be there too.

The best about my favorite, Merle, is his sons are carrying his music on. They are each very special and have that “that sound”. Makes me cry. I hope they have an idea of how loved they are.

What a legacy! I'm pretty much speechless. I grew up listening to Merle and so many other great artists from all genres of music but as so many others have said: music is music no matter what you call it and brings us all together as human beings. Thanks for sharing this tribute. Merle, you won't be forgotten.

I cried listening to "Mama's Hungry Eyes" sang by Marty. Merle Haggard had touched many people's lives with his songs about the different struggles in life that most people experience up to this day. Thank you for sharing this tribute.
Close your eyes when Ben sings, he sounds EXACTLY like Merle, he is an example of how country music has changed. Ben should be a SUPERSTAR! I absolutely love his voice! He can pick too!

Daryl Singletary sounds just like Merle. Country music lost a great legend when Merle died, and lost a future legend when Daryl died. Rest in peace Gentleman.

Marty Haggard said it all. REAL Country music is dying out!! I was raised on the REAL stuff, and I miss it terribly. This rock n roll crap they try to pass off as Country music these days makes me sick. Putting in a steel guitar or a mandolin in a song, DOES NOT make it Country music.

One of my all time favorites! Saw him in concert in Charleston SC back in '75 or '76. Wish I could have seen his show a few more times.
