Some advice if you aren't confident in using watercolor yet. The basis and main point you want to focus on when using watercolor is to always start with less color and more water and BUILD UP your color and intensity of your painting as you go. Never start with a lot of color and harsh and intense stokes because,i won't use the word wrong but for someone who is just starting to understand the way watercolor works,its going to be really hard to come back if you mess up if at all. So basically,go for really thin and light strokes and use way more water than paint and build the intensity and color as you go. I hope I explained it well enough. And don't try to rush it because it's never going to work out. Watercolor demands patience.

Don't use a regular one like the guy in top of me said. You should use it since it's thicker unlike regular papers that's thin enough to be ruined by water.

As a traditional artist for the last over 20 years, I just want to tell you all, especially the little baby artists out there- NO ONE sucks at watercolor. It is the most free flowing and easy medium. There are some “rules” that only stuffy fuddy dutties go by that no one else cares about, so don’t worry about any of the “rules” you hear about watercolor, any other medium or anything art related at all. You can suck at technical stuff like photo realism, drawing straight lines etc like. But I promise you that if once you embrace whatever shortcomings that YOU think you have, they become your style. Take the “it’s not a flaw, it’s a feature” saying to heart. I promise you that you don’t suck. You might be inexperienced or in an unfamiliar art setting but it’s isn’t a skill issue. I promise you. Take those “flaws” and make them your style instead of changing them. You don’t want to be just a photo copy of anyone else’s style anyway. ❤

This is so siick tho!!! You could use those circles for any scenery like she did floral, but you could totally create your own version of outer space, make them into a bunch of cool planets and stuff, you could use this for alot of different picture ideas! Very cool!

For those who need help with coloring you can try practicing wet-on-wet or wet-on-dry technique. It's one of the basics and knowing how to use the two can greatly help you in progressing^^ oh and you need patience with watercolor (based on my experience). How many times did my colors mix together since I didn't wait for it to dry first haha💀 and ofc the last is don't pressure yourself and take your time! You can do it, maybe not now but someday
The truth is many artist says qatercolor is the hardest medium but to me naaaahhh is easy all u have to do is let the water and the watercolor guide it to your direct or what stroke you want

Helloo guys so here's a tip u don't need to cut circles and then dip them in the paint water just dip your brush in the water colors or any paint of ur choice,and then draw circles on ur sketch book or any page , drawing circles with the help of bush is tooo easy , when you are drawing circles in the corner of the SketchBook so you just have to rotate your brush which is dipped in paint and then if you are drawing on the centre of the SketchBook then rotate it clockwise and then colour it inside I hope it helped btw I just did it and now I m waiting for it to dry

Did you use board paper? Bc if you used ruled that’s the problem Bc board paper is stronger and thicker than ruled

I believe you need thicker paper. Watercolors are made of water so normally you would need thicker paper to do things that contain water.
