In today's video I will be taking apart and putting back together to clean my toddler's car seat (Graco 4Ever). She's used it for a little over a year and it has never been cleaned until now.

They must have updated the manual because loading the car seat into the czcams.com/users/postUgkxIG_q-ZqgbzYXwbeApK3AybegDUy4f2fF double stroller was mentioned in the manual (unlike previous comments/reviews). The undercarriage basket is quite large but it is difficult to access when the back rider is reclined, however my toddler usually doesn't fall asleep in the stroller these days so I haven't had an issue. I was amazed by how smooth the ride was and how easily I was able to maneuver the stroller in small spaces. My toddler loves that she can see her baby sister (see photo) during the ride :) Plus you can't beat the price! I have only loaded it once in my car and it is fairly light but my mother wouldn't be able to lift it in.
Before having a child did you ever say “I’m never letting my child eat in the car!” 😂 because I say that now but idk 🤷🏻♀️ Road trips would be hard! Haha

I would say that too, and now we both eat in the car lol.
I have been a car builder my whole life where nobody was ever allowed to eat in any of my tuners I bought a brand new truck worth a pretty penny and the toddler eats in it everytime i drive somewhere lol kids definitely change your life hahaha

Its so satisfying to see the before and afters. You did an amazing job! I dread cleaning my daughter's, but it needs to be done. This was a brilliant idea fimlimg it because the first time I I cleaned my daughter's, I forgot how to put it back together.... I had to pull out the manual.
Just so you know mama you shouldnt install with both latch and seatbelt it's one or the other! And you should used the tether!🙂🙂
I've cleaned my 2 year old's seat like 4 times already. He is so messy!!! I watch a youtube graco video every single time too 😂. I've almost got it memorized

The inserts need to come out for forward facing and you can't use the latches and seatbelt at the same time. Latches have weight limits so I'd just use seatbelt.
This gave me the boost I needed to clean my nephew's Graco booster seat. 😩😩
Job well done especially removing the seat cover those tiny elastic straps do look intimidating.
This is a old video, but I have a Graco Extend2fit very similar and it always smelled.. bad, even after washing the cover. It turned out that food and dirt had accumulated IN THE BASE of the seat. I had to remove the bottom cover with a Phillips driver to uncover 3 years of old milk stains, food, etc that was making the bad smell! I took the seat outside and sprayed it with a hose to get the bits out. Gross!
The seats are aesthetically nice but the design left so many places for stains to hide. If your seat still smells after cleaning then check the base.
⚠️I know this is an old video but I think the little grey padded foam insert idk what is called but the one you took off first, I think it’s only used for babies 12 lbs or less! Always read your car seat manuals and that thing also has instructions and it says there when to stop using it! Just an fyi to everyone⚠️

Thank you so much. My son spilled a fruit purée all over the seat, im a single mom so I didn’t have time to clean it right away and it got hard and gross. I was having a melt down and started crying because I could not figure out how to take it apart. Omg if it wasn’t for sweet mommas on CZcams I would have gone crazy but now I’m ok and calm.

My boy just had a huge throw up in the car. Stuff stuck in the base. I feel like it's impossible to clean it completely....

Just an FYI mama.. I know this was long ago but you’re not supposed to use the anchors and belt for the seat only one or the other

Wait so when you washed everything it was just on delicate/cold water but you didn’t add any detergent? Just water itself?
Yes you can add detergent but not oxyclean just detergent

My son has this car seat. He threw up on it....I made the mistake of not even taking pics before removing the carseat. Ugh!
Graco has an instructional video on taking it off and putting it on on. I always refer to everytime I wash the covers 🙂
