    Shout out to ‪@MusicNerdStuff‬
    The only video I could find on the Tube of the Fojill FTL-60 Relic
    If you want to hear more of a playing review:
    • THE BEST GUITAR DEAL O...
    $179 with coupon
    Ordered - August 6
    Arrived - August 11
    The only “39 inch” telecaster I could find from them.
    They only had black and sea foam green (light relic)
    No non-relic options were available
    According to Amazon: shorturl.at/8fW2x
    * Roasted Canadian Maple Neck
    * Rosewood Fingerboard
    * Split shaft tuners
    * 22 fets (unspecified)
    * Bone nut
    * Mahogany Body
    * Belly cut - contoured arm rest
    * Padded Gig bag
    Yes, it's a relic
    They have 30 inch telecaster (FTL-20 FTL-30) for $89.
    - I wanted to try one of those in the spirit of “How low can you go?”
    - They show a basswood or “Phoenix” wood option
    - Only available in sea foam green or pink (with or without decals)
    - Top loaders
    - Since I am not ready to tackle making a string through body or sanding a refinishing, just yet, I paid a bit more for the FTL-60 (39 inch, string through body, etc.)
    Was this a mistake? Time will tell.
    Shout out to @2bikemikesguitartopics145 & @j-man9457 for all their recommendations and encouragement. If haven't been to their channels, check them out.

    This channel explores my journey with budget guitars through a mix of various kinds of videos. You’ll find boring unboxing videos, out of the box tone samples, discussions of fit and finish, features, specifications, hardware, electronics, initial thoughts, reactions, guitar work, and lots of stories.
    Along the way, I'll offer my take on questions like, “Should I buy a budget guitar? “Is upgrading a budget guitar worth it?” What is the cost difference between upgrading budget guitars with the price of brand name guitars? Do all budget guitars need upgrade? and more.
    Wherever you are on your guitar journey, I hope it’s a good ride for you.
    Rock on with your bad selves.
    I’ll catch you down the road.

    Cool buddy! If that neck is properly seated and angled in that pocket, you can definitely work with that. Looks good!
    Loves teles with forearm contours❤
    Have fun with this!

      @j-man9457 - Thanks, bro. I just posted some under the hood (or comedy) vids. Would love your take on the neck pocket. Some interesting stuff there. Also, you are right I forgot to mention the belly cut and contoured arm rest. Reserving judgement til I get a bit down the road, but looks like I might have some good bones here.

    I don’t own any relics, unless you count the Frankenstein replica I built, but I think it looks cool.

      @@WickedFesterBand - Thanks, bro. This is my second one. I think it looks pretty good myself. Some TLC and we shall see.

    Cool ! That axe looks pretty darn good to me. And I like the way you presented this. I am exactly right there with you on the guitar thing. Just give me a good body, and a good neck. And I will take it form there. I'll turn it into something - and for not a whole lot more cash. I've done it countless times, and I end up with a great guitar, for a reasonable amount of cash - and I get to have some good times in the Lab creating and building something. And sometimes we get a surprise - right? And get a great guitar!

    The "input jack" is actually an "output jack" as it outputs the guitars signal .....

    This guitar is really pretty low quality. A Harley Benton Tele would have been a huge jump up for the same price.

      @@Andreas_Straub - Well, based on my HB experience, this will compete in the long run and save my back in the process. That TE-52 was a boat anchor (for an old man). Thanks for the comment.
