Best ever to have a philipino boy in Bulgaria singing in Bulgarian without mistatkes. My step mom is Filipino. Im Bulgarian. Filipino will give their shirts off of their back for anyone. They love people. Very cultural peeps. Love u Filipino Boy.
Thank u ! I'm a Filipino and I'm proud of it that even some are being racist to us because of the kind of job we have around th world ,racist people don't know how we love our family and we tried to help them even it'll take a long years to be away and years to live with our hearts longing for them ...thank u GOD BLESS
That white-haired female judge is Poli Genova. She was singing for Bulgaria in Eurovision Song Contest 2011. I'm so overwhelmed that she recognized the Filipino talent!
this dude is the truth!!! he makes me so proud to be filipino-american. He is doing a wonderful thing being in the peace corps & he's got some serious pipes! love this guy!!!
Bulgarian people I think they are nice...though the contestant was a filipino they appreciate his talent..I dnt see any racism among the audience instead they gave standing ovation and the judges too...Thanks to the filipino talents through u guyz we filipinos slowly discover the beauty of the the world..God Bless to all Nations....
The song is very nice its about a guy who lives far from home, and so he see a little white cloud and ask the cloud if he has flew over his father's house or heard his mother speak about her son who is far away... and so on. It is a song every bulgarian know's. I have always thought about this song when i go abroad.
wow nice story! even though I do not ubderstand what the lyric means, but certainly it penetrates to the heart! God bless Bulgaria, God bless u Raphael!...
The msg of the song is so touching... especially to us working abroad and far far away from home ....I miss my home my family everyday...for three years going four that I didn't feel their embrace..😔😔😭
seriously, Filipinos are smart, talented, huge heart and appealing. it is just sad that these qualities aren't exemplified. So proud that he represent and may the good Filipinos shine their heart at the right time. God bless our people.
I can't believe that a Philipino who lives in Bulgaria only two years when he sang this speaks Bulgarian this kind of well and can sing a Bulgarian song. He did not went to the big concerts, but I am amazed by his talent already 3 years. His is unique!
If you mean to say the country, its The Philippines..But if you want to say someone who's from the country it shouldn't be "Philippino", it should be "Filipino". No offense taken but I thought I should at least let you know about the difference... :)
Jennette Erika It's okay. Jennette is obviously not a native English speaker. Her message is well understood. Glad to know that this Phil-Am Rafael is doing great in Bulgaria!
Lyrics. "Tell me, white cloud, where do you come from? Where have you flown? Did you not see my father's house? Did you not hear my mother speak? How is my dear child doing? Sharing foreign bread with foreigners? Tell them, white cloud, that you saw me fit and well here. And bring them greetings from me, the biggest part is over, only a little remains, the day is coming when I'll be back home, to embrace my mother. "
+Aegon Targaryen - I think so many millions of Filipinos (and so many people in the world everywhere) can understand this song and relate to it as well as Bulgarians. Amazing....
I do not understand a word that is said, but I feel the passion, and the heart-felt response. Music has no language. It has a Soul that resides in us ALL.
arioch101, except in Trump,he spreads misery and caos everywhere, typically U S regime tactics. . . . have nice day. с изключение на "Тръмп", той разпространява мизерия и хаос навсякъде, обикновено тактика на режима "У". , , , приятен ден.
Why can't we just be happy that another person sings and touches the hearts of the judges, and most especially the people? Music breaks racial barriers, that much I know. A lot of Filipinos and Filipino blooded talents have gone to almost all the places in the world to touch the lives and hearts of every race, that when they sing it almost always breaks the color of the skin and not by the way you look, for they always hear the voice, and the intense and very deep emotions that these singers portray. Listen, just listen, and you will feel what the judges felt when they shed a tear or two when this man sang. Just have mutual respect, as we also respect your own opinions.. no need to comment negatively about the person. To my fellow kababayan, nice one! You nailed it bro! I was also moved by the melody of that song, though I did not understand what the song meant. Mabuhay ka po!
Our problem is that generally Filipinos competing in a Caucasian dominated business like the entertainment industry, with Caucasian audiences and culture do not look Caucasian. Leah Salonga if she had looked white would have been more successful in Broadway. But she was limited to Asian roles.
The outpouring of their emotions shows how "beautiful" these (Bulgarians) people are. I mean, if they could cry and be joyful with sincere appreciation over a simple event like this: a foreigner's rendition (Filipino) of a Bulgarian song, well, I can't even begin to imagine how nice they really are when it comes to humanitarian context.
What exactly do you know sir? We are country usually neglected at best by foreighners like you, so yes- a bit of appreciation of our beautiful folklor moved them and me also. And I can't say about 90% of my nation, but all of the people I'm talking to are quite beautiful people- from the outside and inside.
Amazing performance! There are a few people in this world that you instantly can sense that they are genuine and caring, this young man is one of those special few.
Makes one feel proud to be a Filipino. To be able to speak Bulgarian like that, their own song go to Bulgaria and help people as Peace Corp volunteer and make their women cry in admiration is just well..... admirable. Mabuhay ang Filipinas.
I'm so happy for you...and very amazed by the judges and people from Bulgaria really embraced this guy for his performance....proud Filipino here....thanks for uploading this video 😙😙😙😙😙
The song he sang is one of the most beautiful and emotional songs in Bulgaria and he did absolutely amazing. One of the judges even said that she has never heard before anyone being singing it that well....Well done to him..and btw -he has only been for couple of years in Bulgaria, and his bulgarian is so great ! :)
What a voice! Very moving rendition of a folk song. This kid has awesome talent and has done a great service by teaching to war-torn countries/state as part of the US Peace Corps. Just wondering why most of the hate speech and "dislikes" here are perpetuated by his fellow Filipinos. Shouldn't he be supported instead?
were so proud of you! keep the pilipino pride alive!! salamat sa'yo nakakalakas ng loob ito. muli napatunayan na naman ng mga pinoy ang galing natin sa musika. at isa ka sa dapat pasalamatan sa pagbukas ng mga tenga mata isip at puso ng isang bansa para itaas ang mga pinoy.. maraming salamat sa'yo. sana'y magtagumpay ka! at wag kang mawalan ng pag-asa di mo rin sana makalimutan ang ating bansa.. salamat. pagpalain ka pa nawa.
For those of u who wonder what the sound is about its about a soldier who is singing to a cloud and is telling the cloud to tell his mom that he's alive and alright. At least the way I understand it is that way because he doesn't say he is a soldier, u just kind of infer it from the stuff he says. Anyway. I'm blown away. His Bulgarian is pretty good too. Yayyy
Its a very..traditional song. I live in Canada and when I hear it I just remember Bulgaria and the times when I lived there. Makes me cry every time. I guess every culture has those songs hah. Except Canada. I don't know what they have in terms of songs.

Andrew Botala Do you think that all filipino in overseas are only domestic helper????your not well inform dude......filipino are like a aluminum the more deflated the more valuable
I really think because of the diverse cultures we have as Filipinos, with distinct own language from every part of the island, that's why in a very short time we can learn and adopt and speak a foreign language as fluid as the locals, ive heard a lot of Filipinos speaking different language and you cant really distinguished by just listening if it is spoken by a local.
This is beautiful. I speak a little Bulgarian myself as I lived in Bulgaria for a little under a year. My wife is Bulgarian, I'm Filipino/Chinese/Spanish (Spain).... and we have a son who is Bulgarian/Filipino/Chinese/Spanish :) --- I got freaked out a few times in Bulgaria because there are Nazi's there. But, for the most part, I find Bulgarians to be wonderful / beautiful people. I absolutely love the culture and the country. Oh, and the food is kinda awesome too :P
+Kenneth xDJjang It's about a man who is missing his home while abroad. So he is talking to a white cloud asking it if it has seen his family and his home and how are they... You get the idea....( "oblache le bialo" translates as white cloud)
WOW ! This guy not only have a good voice, but also sings in Bulgarian without the slightest accent ! If I had not seen him I would not believe that he is not Bulgarian ! Respect !
I agree with everyone that this was awesome in a lot of ways, but is his voice really THAT stunning? He just sounded pretty ordinary to me. Good! But not a standout talent.
why you can't see the beauty of his performance, manifested in the outpouring of the judges' and audience's emotions, suggests your simple-mindedness that even borders on stupidity, poor you.
He's awesome its not easy to sing in that language though he's Filipino learned the language from California but they're being stunned thank you for sharing Vivan Bulgaria!💖💖💖🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
hindi mo na kailangang intiendihin. pakinggan mo na lang. lahat ata nga mga tao sa audience ay pumalakpak at nagandahan sa tinig nga performer. so iyan na yan..
he is really great.. he never forgets the place where he was born, the place he grew, and the now, loving a new place and spreads knowledge to another race. man, you are a really great filipino, you make us proud. We salute you. Salamat
I can not even understand what they say or sing her, but when I closed my "eyes" Touch me and, I stood fur, "We All Proud To Be Filipino" "Mabuhay Ang Mga Filipino"
it was already amazing to watch even when i couldnt understand what they were saying... it got a million times better when i turned on the English caption.
Hi I'm proud filipino and we are all love singing congratulations to all pilipino really really proud of u all guyz God bless us all specially our Phillipines country...
We do that because we have something to be proud of. For example, the man in this video....He's a Peace Corps Volunteer. He's serving as an English teacher to a small town in Bulgaria. Although he's only been living there for 2 years, he's very fluent in Bulgarian..as you can see on the video, judges were shock about it, calling it "TALENT"..i'd say that's intelligence. He's not only representing him self, he's representing a Nation, a group of people and he's doing it really Well. That's Why.

Iba ka Pinoy! Proud of U!😍😍😍
what his name ? did he win ??
he has super voice !!
the guy singing his name is Rafael Aguilar
I agree with everyone that this was awesome in a lot of ways, but is his voice really THAT stunning? He just sounded pretty ordinary to me. Good! But not a standout talent.
why you can't see the beauty of his performance, manifested in the outpouring of the judges' and audience's emotions, suggests your simple-mindedness that even borders on stupidity, poor you.
Mabuhay kapwa pilipino....nice bulgarians too, they know how to respect foreigners..thank you very much
Thanks a lot ma'am..you are the few filams who are still proud of your filipino ancestry..more power to you Ms.Thompson,May you live long and prosper.

Правда! :-) She is one of the most famous Bulgarian singers- Мария Илиева and she is great!
That's Why.
Thank you Bulgarian for appreciation
