In 1999 I went to the DRC Congo. I contracted malaria and was taken to a very dirty hospital next to a market. Before they could treat me the hospital demanded $350 because I was a foreigner. Was the clerk xenophobic no he was just following hospital policy to protect the Congolese. Stop calling everything xenophobic. The MEC was just frustrated because she has no budget to treat illegal immigrants. Xenophobic she isn't.

A medical doctor swear with the hyppocrate oath not to discriminate patients. It should not be the duty of a doctor to know where the patient comes from. The admin, home affairs, politicians should do their jobs. Where are the humanitarian NGOs so that they pay for the costs of treating foreigners who need care since their governments are ignoring their citizens?! If someone is paying for them, they will be no complaints.

MEC is not Xenophobic at all, I support her and do not see anything wrong with the statements she said on the viral video. Most of the foreign people are sick yooh. I took my son to Red Cross kids Hosp. And the most people who were there were foreign nationals, mostly Zimbabweans, Somalians and Nigerians. As I speak they couldn't operate my son, My first visit was on the 14 Dec, after that I had numerous appointments twice a month, after the diagnosis was complete in May I was given a 5th Jan 2023 appointment and I was told me and my son should patiently wait. They are killing the system really. When I complained the doctor also told be about the backlog of other ppl with serious issues who are also awaiting to be operated.
There really should be tight rules when it comes to foreigners, all foreigners.
