I bought two GT Gators this year, and both came badly wrinkled at the
head due to improper rolling/storing the sail in the sail bag. The
dealer raised the question to Severne and claimed that wrinkles do not
go away, and sails had to be replaced under warranty. Severne's
response was that this had been a usual thing for mylar sails, told us
to live with it, and refused the exchange. This put me and the dealer
in a difficult position because I paid the top dollar for the equipment.
This has never happened to me before with Ezzy, Neil Pryde, Goya or
North for the past 30 years. My windsurfing buddies had a sour taste
with Severne also. So, from now on, I will only buy windsurfing
equipment from a company that stands behind its products.

I had a similar issue 10 years ago when I bought a severne 5.5m synergy rig. When I bought it the clew end was already wrinkled up! The bag was designed to hold the whole rig and the sail inserts clew first into the bag. 🤦‍♂ Looks like many severne sails have the same issue with tight bags and a ridiculous backward design where the sail is put in clew end first. I bought a 9.0 iqfoil sail a year ago and I have to be super careful inserting the sail into the bag not to damage the clew end. Must say this is really annoying! I don't understand why the bags are designed so tight and backward. (Maybe it's to provide support for the sail while stored?) I think it does more harm than good. My Ezzy Lion rolls up perfectly and can be put into the bag in seconds without any risk of damage to the sail, because it goes mast end first into the bag.

Quite like the video, some useful tips. Not sure why the camera has such a restricted view, quite often missing some of the shot of what's going on.

    Thanks for the video! Great!
I do ride with the S1 2019, mast gorilla. Is that normal to have the battens not flush with the mast? They touch even after trying to adjust the tension on them!??

Hi there, I was gonna buy two Severne GT Turbos, but I have seen
wrinkles in the mylar at the head section of both sails due to improper
packaging. Do you happen to know a method to remove the wrinkles???
They look ugly because that part of the sail is not stretched out after
    rigging. Happy holidays :-))
