This was not a combo amp demo. This was an OriginAL demo only. You should have miked the speaker with a fairly flat response mic (not one with boosted lows and highs and extremely scooped out low mids like a AKG D112 which unfortunately so many do in their bass amp and cab demos). The D.I. sound with the shape engaged is horrible.
But...there is no speaker/cabinet sound in this video. How does this demonstrate the sound of an amp/speaker that only works as a dedicated combo amp if you don't demonstrate it that way? You are asking an additional $500 for this speaker/cab, but haven't attempted to prove its worth, especially as you haven't allowed the head to be removed from it easily. Is Ashdown a 'silly' company? I think it must be. This is very poor form from a manufacturer's own CZcams channel.
Is it possible to just buy the speaker and use the OriginAL head you already own?
Currently we only sell it as a Combo, but this is an interesting idea and definitely something we'd like to look into if we expand the range :)
