Shabani the silverback gorilla and his 11-year-old son Kiyomasa.
They get along very well, but occasionally Kiyomasa exhibits flaunting behavior towards Shabani.
Since about a year ago, we have seen several instances of flaunting behavior by Kiyomasa, and on several occasions, Shabani overreacted to him, which led to a big fight.
On this particular day, Kiyomasa suddenly began flaunting behavior toward Shabani.
Shabani was cool with him.
Sometimes he would make a mad dash for Kiyomasa.
Shabani never stepped back, and Kiyomasa seemed to get tired and finally took refuge in the upper part of the room.
The silverback gorilla was showing the blackback gorilla how great he was.
Shabani was winning without a fight.

Shabani was born in the Appenheul Primate Park, Netherlands.
Nene was born wild in Cameroon.
The other three were born in the Higashiyama Zoo in Japan.

Japan needs a large bachelor enclosure for Kiyo and Gentaro now and in the future gorilla boys Riki and Kintaro. Also plans for Komomo, Momoka and Annie.Japanese zoos have had many years to prepare for the future habitats of these gorillas.
Shabani has an insane amount of speed 😳 its like watching a tank run on legs 😂😂

shabani was not letting that go, he gave kiyo a long and hard lesson today! i am pleasantly surprised that ai and nene were nowhere to be found to defend kiyo. shabani was allowed to act as a proper father and silverback for once. maybe the girls are finally starting to respect his authority. and sweet annie was just there to watch out of concern.
Nene is the ring leader of that rescue crew, that’s not needed. Kiyo has to be taught every once in a while Who’s in charge and it’s not Mom. He’s a good Dad and not hurting him.

They all do this and they put the females on birth control to keep them from breeding with a father, or a parent/sibling from having mixed dna. They don’t know any better and don’t see things the way we do. Googles your friend, do some research on them and their lifestyles.

Kiyo is growing fast ❤ Annie is my beautiful princess ❤ Ai Is a beautiful gorilla 🦍 and my old girl Nene what can I say about you I can definitely say that your spunk and spirit is adorable and I hope you live another 50 years ❤❤ As for the Zoo Keeper's you guys take excellent care of this family and I thank you for your love and loyalty.❤❤

I wonder if Kiyomasa and Gentaro will be the start of a bachelor troop in Japan? Kiyo is from the Apenhaul line and Europe has a surplus of males anyway. Gentaro is genetically important though. Does Japan have a breeding program?
Japan has a breeding program, but it has not been announced which gorillas will be paired in the future.
I also believe that Japan needs a facility for bachelor groups, but there is no such facility in Japan.

Еще какие-то разговоры ведутся о будущем Гентаро, но про остальных - полная тишина. Везде в мире не хватает самок, а в Японии есть две свободные половозрелые самки - Момока и Комомо, но никто не ищет возможность их пристроить в другой зоопарк. Если нет никакой программы по разведению горилл, зачем они позволяют им размножаться?
What did you mean by saying that Gentaro is more genetically important? Is it because he has less blood line ties to other gorillas in Japan? I can’t figure out why else he would be more important.
There is nothing I would want more than to have Gentaro and Kiyomasa moved to a bachelor group that would hopefully be followed by one of these amazing gorilla CZcamsrs. That would be fun to watch. It always amazes me how the males get along without females around.

@@Gretta1759That is something I didn't know. It's truly a shame. Hopefully something will change soon. To have 2 females and no males especially when the US had extra males. One of the males had to be neutered, so this news is especially hard to hear
It was comical and cute watching Chobani hold on to that sackcloth for dear life and keep it from his son, even going so far as to put it outside where he knew it was raining! They still belong in the jungle where they're free! Now that there are smartphones, we don't even need zoos to see all kinds of wild animals! I'd rather see them in the wild where they're happy n not in some concrete enclosure like a prison!😪😞
I have a stupid question, what are those things sticking out of the floor? The only purpose i can see is that they hide behind them, other than that, i see nothing fun or useful.
Do they get to go outside? It looks like the pod jails I had worked in for psychiatric felons! It is so grim. I wish I had money to share. I am old and on the way out but I enjoy all of these films. Thank you.
There is a playground outside where they can also play outside.

Yes ,that makes sense I guess,he was such a fantastic dad with both boys when they were young ,I think that Gentaro is really upset with his dad ,He stayed outside in the rain all morning because I think he read MoMo and did not want to fight anymore with his dad ,He will have his lady soon enough,I hope Kintaro doesn’t take it hard when he leaves ,Remember when MoMo as really sick with his chin, his family was so worried about him ,these gorillas and Shabani’s are amazing ❤️

Kiyomasa was displaying aggression and Shabani had to make sure that he didn't hurt any of the females. I really hope that drugs are not being tested on these primates.
