As a result of this, the kill confirm/finisher combo at 7:28 isn't currently possible.. they also made it so the up air special/down air attack chain combo no longer works. Here's hoping the devs revert/fix Arya soon.
Yeah I personally believe the down air is the best combo starter for her, thank you for telling me about the neutral air I didn't realize it was that good for combos.
Also at 100-150 damage, if you have the dagger on the enemy and your near the edge of the stage, side light, up special and side air, then dagger, and if your to high for a kill with a down air off stage do a side air, if your just around the middle or lower do a down air and finish the kill, I've found the was the most consistent kill confirm usually since I land it the most.
I needed this... My worst enemy while playing Arya is me... I try to do something and somehow just end up killing myself :S or getting hit by something I really should not have been hit by
i never figured out i had to land the dair before up special to get a dair at the top. i’m like level 21 between combined accounts, but never labbed her, just learned as i played in matches. makes sense tho, thanks man

Idk if I am the first one to notice this but you can cancle " down-normal with a jump leading into a down air, cancle that down air into up special, side heavy or dodge" I think it might be an interesting mobility trick that I haven't seen people use.

I have Arya almost lvl 30, and so far i have two gripes with her First is that sometimes the up special doesnt correctly bring you to the enemy and i end up completely whiffing the next attack. I still dknt know why it does that sometimes lol. The next is that she is insanely light lol. I understand shes an assassin, but i get rung out at like 40 to a shaggy kick and its quite frustrating. I hope they compensate this w perhaps her movement being increased or something

I play with keyboard, when i press s+j to perform the downair, arya actually dash downward to the ground and this kinda fuck up all the combo, what am i doing wrong?
@@ItsShatter Yeah that might me the reason, when it happens they are too far off to the side to hit them with the last up air. If I may ask for another tip, I'm having trouble hitting the side ground normal to start my combos, any suggestions for improvement there? Ty for answering anyways ;)
my thought would be to map the down attack to a different key... but I checked and it does not seem like there is currently an option to do that :/ ... I am not sure how you would go about doing it, definitely a feature the devs should add (mapping specific directional attacks to specific keys/inputs)
Watch boomie s video on it there is a application that makes some of your keyboard keys into controller inputs which makes it possible to slow fall while doing the down attack.
Why is there no image from Elden Ring at the top of your youtube home page. It's your best and most notable content to date, confused why you would have 6 other games in the header and no Elden Ring. Would be nice to see.
For some reason up special does not dash unless another input is entered after hit. And i cannot seem to use down air for sometime after the hit? Am i missing something
do you have Input Buffer Hold toggled on/checked? you need to make sure that is off/unchecked and set input buffer max frames to recommended in the settings, that should fix it. Also, the dash up only happens if the attack connects with your target.
From what I’ve seen, it just takes a lot of practice… it also depends on your opponent. I’ve found that even at level 27 on Arya I have a very hard time against half-decent Jakes and Harley Quinns
The flip flop chain combo it no longer works or is very hard to achieve? it seems to me that the patch destroyed it but I can't even make a sequence anymore air up special / down air
Yeah I talk about this in the pinned comment. I hope it was an unintentional change and that they reverse it soon… that was my favorite/go to combo for dishing out damage on heavier opponents like shaggy and Superman
Was it the patch before Morty? Her up air now should go a different direction to better connect her ups and sides so in the process they propably removed flip flops. I was doing it the same way the guide told, being in the right position over the Shaggy bot but he always auto dodges the second spike.
Hmm. Honestly I think you have a better chance of reaching me here. If it’s questions about why some of these combos aren’t working as expected, Arya did receive a patch today that apparently altered her abilities/how they perform. That messed with some of her combos in turn
if you're asking about controller settings, I have my horizontal deadzone at 20 and vertical at 10, but I also have an elite controller so not sure how much a difference that makes. Everything else is basically default/recommended.
Note : Setting the bot to dodge makes it DI down, making certains combos consistent/working because of it, while it’s actually not, especially in real condition.
Do you mean directional input from DI? I mean, no combo will work all the time in every situation. However, we do the best with what we have to work with.
@@ItsShatter Yes, it's just better to practice without the dodge setting in my opinion. As the hitstun option works just well, while the dodge setting makes you practice a bot that only DI to go around the mid ground stage, which is less practical and less realistic to works with.

you can also combo her side attack > up attack > up special > aerial mixup at lower % for an additional hit
Even side --> up --> side --> up --> up special but only works sometimes, seems very random

I think if the enemy is too damaged or too light they can get knocked out of reach, one example being a highly damaged Harley.

This game hitbox sucks. Arya has no priority on attack. Its almost impossible do these combos on a real match. Especially on 2x2

Lol I think that did just happen! Mostly simple stuff. Still haven’t pulled off most of the “advanced” combos in this video outside of training.
