I got this wood from a neighbor who was having a tree cut down, didn't think much of it until I started turning the wood. I am really happy with the out come of the project, I'm glad I picked up the wood.
@GRIZZ357 an easy way to confirm is it will react under black light. You have the bark and endgrain, the bark is very unique and different from most other hardwoods, almost resembles more of a big conifer. Try the blacklight though, should be cool.
My bad brother, trying to get away from the music and add more verbiage but it's hard to get used to I don't like the way I sound I hope I didn't bum you out my apologies
You lost me with the first note of music. No one I know pulls up a turning video to listen to tunes. The sounds of a running lathe, tools on the wood, and a good running commentary are the only audibles needed, IMHO.
The grain is absolutely gorgeous. A beautiful piece of mystery wood made into a beautiful bowl.
Thank you very much!
Nice
Beautiful piece of wood - enjoying binging (just popped up on my feed today) your channel - subbed, liked & all that jazz.
Thank you.
Awesome, thank you!
That turned out awesome. Beautiful wood and the design in the wood so beautiful. Great job as always.

I just looked it up. I think you're right. Totally appreciate that input, brother.
