Presented here is the magnum opus of the PS22 Chorus of 2012 -- "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane in full three part harmony (a first for the chorus!), and in addition features wonderful solo parts by Kahlil, Faith, and Cassara! A shortened version of this song was used in a public service announcement for the National Forest Foundation, which debuted tonight on all the networks affiliated with the Discovery Channel! The video was filmed in Walker Pond Park, a beautiful area in Staten Island's Greenbelt, and the location perfectly suited the message of preservation and conservation of our public lands.
I thought I'd get through ONE of your videos without crying... you think a girl would learn... I was fighting from the start and completely lost it at Cassara's solo... Thank you for sharing all these videos with us; these kids are a true blessing and so are you, Mr, B. Thank you all for everything
I'm glad they used this beautiful song on a 'save the forest' commercial, instead of wasting it on a clothing or Wal-Mart ad. :') They sing it just so beautifully....

Not only is the song beautiful, but every nationality seems to be represented here. Why can't we as the adults act like these children, our children gifts from God. He created us to be together, not apart.I LOVE THESE KIDS, this is what heaven must sound like.

I think I read somewhere that Mr. B. encourages the kids to only read the comments on the blog where he can moderate what gets posted. But if you watch the special version of 'Blood Brothers' (from March if I remember correctly) Cassara says that she believes "that peaple love us." So, I think, yes, they understand.

Oh man, this one went under my radar! Wonderful! I searched for ps22's / Keane's 'Everything Changes' because that song was the answer to a trivia question on a TV show earlier today on ITV (The Chase). I watched that video again and then noticed this one. I wonder if Mr B has thought about that Take That song 'Rule The World'? I love that song! And it's clear that Gary Barlow wrote it for four voices. Maybe not suitable for a chorus? I know basically nothing about music / singing.

This is exactly what I wished to get after seeing the PSA.
It happened again. I thought I had seen the best performance of the year and then this comes out and I have to revise my opinion. And after peeking at the original song I can safely say this arrangement with this year's Chorus is far better. The original just lacks the beautiful voices (and Cassara's look at the camera). No matter how much studio equipment they get to use.
I had this song humming in the back of my mind the whole day and I think it's at least partly Cassara's 'fault'.
