- A memorial was unveiled Tuesday and dedicated to fallen Tampa Police Officer Jesse Madsen, who drove his patrol car into the path of a wrong-way driver on I-275 last year. He saved the life of another driver.

How can anyone want to support a party who supports defund our police. He is a lion. Courage and valor. God says there is a special place for those who lay their lives down for another. Heroes every day.
How can anyone with more than a third grade education not understand that defunding merely means reducing the increase projected for the next fiscal year? Police officers will still enjoy their generous wage and benefits packages, as well as overtime pay that's often more than their annual standard pay. Uniform cleaning, bullets, firearms are also paid on top of it all.
Unless they're looking into republican politicians. Then defund them. The double standard is so obvious

It's no different than when they refer to "tax cuts". Taxes are never reduced, they're always more than last year. A budget is submitted and accepted. If the budget for next year is rejected pending a required reduction, the opposition (especially if unionized government employees) ALWAYS scream about cuts and lack of funding. It's a game played to manipulate the voter. Police cars don't run out of gas, police officers will still arrive to arrest you for not wearing a mask or quarantining your healthy self if so mandated. However, they WILL stand down during civil unrest citing "lack of funding". Interesting how that works.
