*Did you like the idea of using shock absorbers as an Elevator?*
Yes i like but are you ready to upload video everyday, please!!?😂
good thinking
I never would have thought that until the last few minutes. Friend that is awesome and I love how you call people friend.
No background music THANK YOU!
i watched it with pink floyd's, shine on you crazy diamond running in the background, did it no harm. but yeah many videos could do without or at least with a lot less volume on the bgm
I begin watching and I'm instantly confused. Within the last minute I finally understand what's going on here. Great idea! Genius reuse of the shocks
Wow!...i would make an amazing apprentice to this guy...i thought i had a engineering mind...man...he is a beast! He would bring to life my many concepts that i have not had the space or shop to explore for years and because he has endless experience in hands on and training and fine-tuning the engineering talent..it looks like any of my ideas i would be a beginner...months to get done by the time i am done researching...he will see it and finish it in a week! 😂😂 a guy like this is a dream to be around with people like me...just mind blowing and refreshing to watch...wow!!!
Watching you work helps keep me sane during this time of year. Thanks
Brilliant.Never thought its going to end up being a router table.
Abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷
My favorite part was seeing you use so many of your other tools you made.
COOL!!!!
WOW, excellent job. You make me jealous with that great lift. Thank you for sharing !!!
In the beginning I was like hmm!!
But halfway through I was like waow, cool.
Why didn’t I think of this. 😎
Good job.
These videos kicks the creative juices flowing, appreciate these videos, their priceless.
That is something new. Well done
Eres un excelente artesano..!

Show my friend! From Brasil! I just love the project. Congratulations.
Brilliant, and a whole lot cheaper. 👌🏽
Awesome work mate 👍🏽
Very clean and robust design! Loved it! Thanks for sharing!
Great idea. Masterful realisation.
Notice: convenient shock absorbers may also be mountain bike forks.
The best diy router lift i have ever seen, thank you for the great idea
One of the greatest router lifts ever made. 👍👌
Super stout and beefy! A router table build is in my future and I really like this design. Sadly, I just got rid of the old shocks from my truck. They were totally shot. But the metal scrap yard has plenty of old ones laying around. :)
Incredible! You are such a master! God bless you! Please put more videos.
Tienes un equipo espectacular.
Muy buenas ideas.
Felicitaciones.
Very nice, clean build. I was confused by the title. I was wondering how a router was going to work as a milling machine. Was stuck on metal vs wood. Technically it is a wood "milling machine". Love the lift.
Saludos
You Sir are a genius!! I wish the owners of the scrap yards could see what can make with what they thought was junk. Something they threw to the side is now a perfectly functioning router lift!
Neat idea. One thing I noticed at the end is that it looked like maybe you let the router bit bottom out in the collet. If so, that’s not a good practice because a bottomed-out router bit can loose in use. It’s better to lift it up a bit so it’s not touching bottom for a better hold and safer operation.
This was pretty awesome, time to search for some shock absorbers, haha
This is brilliant. I especially like how you adjust the level. So easy and simple!
Awesome build, I love it, thank you 👍
Most impressive using struts like that as well as your raising/lowering screw! Well Thought OUT! The Only thing I might ad is a bearing for the Lift screw at the top. This one made me subscribe! Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle....most excellent. Thanks for the great ideas you bring forth.
That was freaking awesome 👍. Well done. Now I'm off to go scavenge for some discarded car struts.
Thanks for sharing.
✌️
This was a uniquely awesome idea! Well done!
Sáng tạo hay lắm áp dụng rất thực tế
very cool thing, you need to try to do it, the right thing, cool👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌
One of the best DIY router lifts I've seen; I don't use my router table to justify building one but I still enjoyed the post Thanks
Yup, using these struts, makes is sturdy.
Very few of these "amazingmust build for every shop" videos are worth the time to watch them. This one is very worth the time. Great job, I might actually make this myself. Subscribed just for this video alone.
Alle Achtung mein Kompliment, tolle Idee und perfekt umgesetzt. Klasse Leistung.
This is one of the most useful projects I have seen on YT. Great work. Now just the problem of finding shocks that aren't ruined...
Like who has $80. To throw away when you can buy a rotor table for like $40.
@@peterrivney552 First find me a table under $90. Second a table under $100 isn't slightly as substantial as this one. Third getting the setup that allows you to adjust the cutter depth from the top side instead of under the table are much more expensive. Around $200-300.
That's just brilliant!
Excelente herramienta bien hecha👍
I seen a similar project to this on another channel but it had a fence set up for extra quality assurance. But this video right here is probably my favorite so far.
Awesome project, well though out and constructed.
Wow 👍🏽GREAT Video! Thanks for Sharing! Have A Super Week!.....Gus
Wow ! That’s genius...
Great idea and a wonderful build.

Great idea Friend! Thanks for sharing the build with us!💖👍👌😎JP
It is good to see simple inexpensive tools to make bigger tools.
Amazing work , to much professionnel , it will take me a year to do that , if i finish ....
Thank you , the video is pro too
Very cool, and well done!! Genius!
Thats exactly the kind of security boots i wear in my shop :D
Great job bro!
That's pretty cool I've gotta say!!
A highly inspired idea👌👌👍👍👍
This is one of the best diy router lift ideas I've seen, without any expensive parts, and very well made. Well done!
I was looking for some old shock-based router lift ideas and found this. I didn't know until a few minutes that it was going to be a router lift. If you mentioned it in the title ("router lift") you might help more people who are really interesting in building one find it and get more views.
congratulations!🇧🇷👍
Good job

Good luck
Amazing idea my friend! You are very talented and have an eye for making "nothing" into "something"! Just please PLEASE be very careful when grinding and or cutting around gas charged shock absorbers, those things can and will explode! Im sure you are aware of the dangers they pose as you were constantly cooling them with water, the danger is still there. I just dont want this to be the last HandCraft video. Once again great job and very impressive!
VERY ingenious. Congratulations.
Genial !!!!muy buen trabajo
Brilliant. Just brilliant!!!
Beautiful tools and ideas and creation ❤
This gives me another idea, this can be a height adjustable work desk. Possible ?
Well, I'm impressed... 👏
I appreciate your work. You did a great job....
Super Video.Danke!
Very good, I think you are one of a handful of people I have seen that are inventive enough to make your own router table. Very well done. You rock.
Nomore Illegals please Accually one is my younger brother. These guys are just smart like that.
great video one tip when you put the unibond or woodglue on, spread across surface and the sprinkle some salt on the surface , when you clamp the parts they dont skid out of position, simple and effective
Yes liked the shock absorbers idea very much . What a refreshing video you made, it was so much more watchable with the screaming power tools muted well done. I'm wondering where you got that drill stand ? Its brilliant.
Very creative mind, simplicity at its best to create a very functional addition to your shop, well done fella
I have never seen so many tools in one place in my life.
Wow, just wow
Great idea, nice and simple.
That's amazing!
Brilliant!
Great job. Well thought out and very workable. If you made them for sale I would buy one from you. Very talented
Bravissimo complimenti
Love it. Really nice work.
Nicely done interesting use of different materials from different trades 😁
Iv a collection of various sized chrome plated rods iv cut from various shocks iv scraped over the years these are Extremely Useful for lathe projects where the I.D. can be bored to suit the chrome rod in its natural state as it’s far better finished and corrosion resistant than can be achieved in the home metal shop.
Your use of the whole shock was very good I liked it and will keep the idea up my sleeve going forward 👍🏻
