Why would anyone want to spend $50 for a well crafted, great looking and an incredible sounding handlebar bell made by actual artisan bell makers? Whether it’s wheels, kits or shoes we’re buying. If you have to ask you probably wouldn’t understand. These bells are beautiful! Life’s short, just buy one.
I got a couple close calls on some mtb trails and decided to get this bell, the guy at the bike shop after I told him I only ride trails said to get this one, it’s $69 now, yikes! So expensive but better safe than sorry and it is sleek, super small and pretty loud, still can’t believe I spent $70 on a bicycle bell, lol.
I had the Knog Oi for months and it’s honestly terrible. The spring on the Oi is very low quality. My Spurcycle bell actually just came in today and the difference is amazing. You really get what you paid for
Yeah if you’re in Canada never order from USA because dumb tax. If you’re in USA never order from Canada because insanely slow shipping through customs.
I emailed spurcycle and they are sending me a Frankenbell....slight cosmetic blemish with lifetime warranty. From what I'm hearing you can't even find the blemish. All good for 38.00! Can't wait to get it
@@MitchOnTwoWheels I've been looking around at the handlebars and I don't have much real estate. I might be able to squeeze the bell in between the end of the bar tape and the stem....we shall see
@@MitchOnTwoWheels Well the bell install pretty straightforward and easy. I found a small bit of handlebar space close to the stem. The bell is amazing!
Is very noticeable to pedestrians though? And will it ring going over bumps? Every bell I ever used always had a light ringing or clanking going over trails.
@@MitchOnTwoWheelsany idea how this works on people walking with headphones in? I really hate shouting "on your left" all the time. People always think I'm being hostile toward them, when really I am just trying to get by without startling them. It is a bike lane after all. Not a place to be having a picnic or playing Pokemon go 🤦
The AGC of the camera mic doesn’t do it justice but you can tell it’s got good volume by how silent his voice becomes in comparison while it’s ringing.
I find that the sound at 4:08, or so, rings harshly vividly in my in-ear monitors; With respect, I'll offer that it would lilely be strident and immediately recognizable to pedestrians.
I got a $50 gift card to my LBS and got the black one for my Surly steamroller. Would I have dropped the cash on it otherwise? Probably not. Am I happy with it? Immensely.
it sounds rather high pitched and annoying to be honest, the high price makes you think it sounds better.. there a cheaper bells with a broader dome that has a much more appealing tone
$50 for bell?, no F... way. The frequency is too high for the middle age person.... best to use a wind chime. the traditional tring tring bell works far better in grabbing the attention of pedestrians. Crane suzi is a far better option.
This bell's ring is about the same frequency as my tinnitus. LOL
4:03 for bell sound
You the real mvp
hands down the best bell with overall small profile and crisp n best part the ring echo too
worth every penny in my book
"Doesn't sound cheap - doesn't look cheap" - and it isn't cheap LOL - but nice!
You’re right!!
Very unique, distinct note. I’m buying!
Hope you enjoy it!

Love it!
Just bought the black one for my Kona Sutra. Great bell for the great bike
Awesome! The sound is purely amazing too :)
A quality bell and I put the black one on my Priority 600 today and love it.
Awesome! I just grabbed a black one as well. It looks even better than I thought.
I like watching you ding the bell
Flicka the Wrist.
Nice bell. I was impressed with the bike once you mentioned that! Like Kona...

Ohhhh literally this was the next video I came across mere moments after ordering the Knog Oi Luxe. A rival $49 ringer. I hope it will compete!
I had the Knog Oi for months and it’s honestly terrible. The spring on the Oi is very low quality. My Spurcycle bell actually just came in today and the difference is amazing. You really get what you paid for
Omg, the sound of that bell 🤤🤤🤤
So good!
Have one on my MTB, and getting another for the gravel bike.
It’s a solid work of art with great sound 😎
I wish these were only $50. I'm seeing them being sold in Canada for close to $90!
Crazy!

Sounds good to me! (No pun intended)

@@MitchOnTwoWheels Thanks👍

Very loud. Doesn’t make a sound unless you ring it.

@@michaelrowe5896 its’ high pitch works well with headphones… at the end of the day, you can’t win them all, but only try.

Bell rings at @4:00
If you pay so much for a bicycle bell, reasonable expectation quality parts, quality built and sound sustainability are high.

It’s definitely very loud.
@@MitchOnTwoWheels it’d be cool if they made them in slightly different pitches. So I can ring 3 together as a chord.
Obviously that would be amazing 😂
I like it but does it come with a little 2.5mm wrench? I don’t think I have one in my tool kit
You should have a 2.5mm lol
@@MitchOnTwoWheels you’re right i just checked i do. Ok I’m on board
The bell is silent on my sound system. How peculiar. Not certain why that particular frequency is attennuated. I will stick with my loud Crane bells.

It’s so satisfying
I still prefer my fork mounted rubber chicken.
Whatever works :)
The Knox Oi Luxe looks better. I don't like that thin metal strap.
Funny how you say that's made in America. I just got the identical Bell on timu for $4.58 free shipping
A friend bought a replica and it broke the first week. But whatever melts your butter ✌️
Are you Canadian? You have a very strong accent.
Sorry, eh.

This video is way too long for a bell that doesn't sound much like a bell.
Savage comment.
I think any way you slice it a $50 bell is a hard sell.
Must not be that hard of a sell as they are sold out.
Oh snap!
@@paganskier you can still get them, just not the Frankenbells that cost more for factory rejected blemishes.
Luckily because it’s such a simple design there are loads of copy’s selling for 1/5 of the price
You get what you pay for. Quality costs.
