- In this terrain building video, I'll be crafting miniature shipping containers entirely out of XPS foam. These shipping containers are built at 32mm scale so they're perfect for tabletop wargames such as Warhammer 40k, Stargrave, and Necromunda. The design can also be scaled to 1:64 and be used as Gaslands terrain.

Is anybody else jealous of how Fab his set up looks his shelves and his desk look mint
Haha, thank you!
Great Video, great content, great channel!
CZcams algorithm needs to kick in to promote this to the larger hobby community - your content is consistently excellent and deserves more views
Thank you, it's appreciated!
Yes more builds for gaslands!
👌👌👌
Nice cargo containers
Thanks! 🙌
This looks absolutely amazing!
Thank you! 😀
Nice job, the weathering looks great!
Thank you! 😀
Really nice results and a beautifully produced video. Well done!
Thank you! Figuring out the production side of videos is becoming a hobby in itself. 😂
Great!
Thank you!
Nice! I purchased the same tube squeezer, but can only do short sections, as it tends to go a bit diagonal after about four inches.
Thanks! I found the initial placement was really important, otherwise it will go diagonal.
Great video bud keep it up 👍🏻
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Супер. Спасибо большое!
impressive how they turned out!! Could you leave the measurements of the pieces?
Thanks! And sure, they’re 3x3x6.5 inches
Great content. I learned a lot from this build. Which airbrush equipment are you using? Would using a regular paint brush work just as good for the numbers?
Thank you! I'm using an Iwata Revolution HP-CR. A paint brush can definitley work. Just make sure to stipple the paint rather than brush it on. You can even use a small sponge and dab the paint on with that instead.
Hi , what are the dimensions of your container ?
Do you seal in the pastel powder in any way? Great video by the way!
Thank you! And I don't seal the powder with anything. I find that it stays on / doesn't wear off as-is.
Great job on creating the shipping containers. Why did you use 32mm scale verses 28mm normally used for gaming. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Most of the 3D printed minis in my collection are scaled to 32mm. It seems that it's becoming more popular with creators. Even Games Workshop has been creeping up the scale of their minis recently.
@@OkayHobbyTime I wished I knew it sooner. I just finished cutting up a truck load of bricks.
Gaslands is a fantastic Game. I have a small Gaslands channel any plans on producing Gaslands terrain that I’ll be able to draw inspiration from?
Great channel! And yes, I have something fun that I plan on releasing. 🙂
@@OkayHobbyTime oh. Thanks for checking it out. Can’t wait to see what you have in store.
Hi, I really enjoyed this video, would you like to do a collab?
Hi Leo, glad to hear! Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I'm not doing collabs at the moment as I'm focusing on my own videos. 🙂
"I probably didn't need another game to create terrain for..."
Buddy, don't let that kind of negativity into your life. Always look for more reasons to build.
Haha, so true. I'm looking forward to getting some Gaslands terrain on this channel. Thanks for watching.
so basically you need A LOT of expensive and non space friendly tools to even make many industrial type of terrain without spending an ungodly amount of time chizzling everything
Hey, thanks for watching. I wouldn't recommend using XPS foam if you don't have the tools to make working with it efficient. Your best bet would be to find substitutions for everything. Corrugated paper for the walls and balsa wood for the beams would be a good start.
@@OkayHobbyTime Can i buy corrugated paper from hobby lobby? i have a wand for xps foam but i can usually only cut organic shapes with it since i don't have a liner board to make straight cuts
also i have the foam board so i can use the thin strips. is there a way i can convert my wand into one with a board?
@@TheStoicArmyPainter Foam board would be perfect. Converting a handheld hot wire cutter into a table would be a bit tough. You're better off with a good ruler and a sharp knife.
@@OkayHobbyTime there's gotta be a 3D printed solution out there for the hot wire cutter lol
