  • CAPPADOCIA is a dream! Join us on our journey around Turkey and its unreal Turkish FAIRY CHIMNEYS and HOT AIR BALLOONS. We started the day by visiting a pottery workshop and Chad even got to create his own pottery design with clay. Afterward, we headed from Avanos to the Fairy Chimneys followed by the outdoor air museum. Our hotel and rental car were located in Göreme. // Travel Vlog 101 // Cappadocia, Turkey

Hi! We're Hannah and Chad! We met at college and got married in August of 2016. As poor newlyweds and recent college grads, we moved to New York City to begin our careers in finance. Only one year later, after accumulating over 2 million miles and points through "travel hacking", we booked round-the-world business class tickets to over 40 countries for free. We quit our jobs, sold everything we owned, and began this once-in-a-lifetime adventure on August 27, 2018.

This has to be the most disappointing trip someone ever made to Turkey. You hardly ever saw Istanbul where you can spend a week or more exploring in and around and now after spending a day in Cappadoccia you are out of Turkey to Jordan? Complete waste of time and money with little accomplishment with so much to see in Turkey.
You might as well fly Airport to Airport in all the countries and call it “Around the World” trip.
You could have a flown a hot air ballon in Luxor though the safety record in Luxor is questionable. You can do it in Africa in Tanzania and Kenya over the Serengeti and Masai Mara. Arizona has several places you can do hot air balloon rides in Sedona and outside Phoenix and Tucson over the Sonoran desert(spectacular during early spring when the desert blooms) Napa valley has them too. Aye & NZ has lots of places to do it and the one I can recall is the one over Canterbury plains in the South Island. Rajasthan, India would be a great place to do it over the desert and forts.
    The options are endless.
