- The open and permissionless autonomous governance system that controls the Internet Computer blockchain is called the Network Nervous System, or NNS. The NNS works by allowing the community to stake ICP governance tokens to create “voting neurons.” Collectively, neuron holders are incentivized to vote to adopt or reject proposals submitted to the NNS. Neurons can be made to vote manually, and can also vote automatically by following other neurons in a form of liquid democracy.

I've been staking my ICP, but my mature neurons aren't being added to what I initially staked. For instance, say I initially staked 500 ICP and overtime I accumulated 3 mature neurons, and (I have the automatic staking command on); Why then did the total stake icp not increase to 503??? I would like your help. Thank you
Could there be a security mechanism to confirm when the start dissolving button is pressed?
Imagine tapping it not on purpose, or if somebody gained access remotely they could just press it with the mouse.
A maesure like, having to confirm it with your security key or other login devices would be great.
Is there an explanation of why staking was set up with all these gymnastics?

Question: the age bonus maximum is 1.25 after 4 years. If I start dissolving my neuron after 4 years, does that mean than when my ICP is liquid I dont get anything from the age bonus? Is it only a feature for voting power? Does that mean I am not getting that ICP at the end when the neuron is liquid?
Need to simplify it and change the names of things. And make it clear on the staking page "Your ICP will be locked uo for 6 months" etc. Dumb it down and make it clear.
If I increase stake over time, does this reset the dissolve delay? Thank you for the presentation.
Increasing stake has no effect on dissolve delay. If you're not dissolving, it should stay the same, if you are, the timer should continue to be ticking down as before.
Ohhh snap. So I need to dissolve my 8 year neuron in order to mint my ICP in 8 years?
why you dont explain for the people how is working your robbery with spown a neuron from maturity? The thing with plus/minus 5% ? i searched everywhere and is explained in a way that only Definity will understand but not all the people which are staking ,make your research everywhere on internet and you will see how many people are in shadow with your ideas...
