When she says "Aussie, aussie, aussie!" and the other 2 look confused as fuck while Cate lets out the most bogan possible "Oi, Oi, Oi!" it was a most beautiful moment.
yep agree. Got me right in the feels
The only way to detect an Australian in any room 😂
@@user-es1kk8pd5j it’s the Aussie dog whistle ;)
Tom Hiddleston: “I have to give credit to the Australian government”
As an Australian, that’s the first time I’ve ever heard anyone say that.
That’s so true haha!
Hahaha not wrong 😂😂
Ikr especially with their covid tyranny in the 2020s
poor tom, stuck in the multiverse where our govt is actually good
🤣😂 so true
I really do love that Australia and Australians in general have a pretty good reputation of being nice and welcoming!
Same here
I think I’m Australian
KG fuck mate normally I hear at least on swear word in each sentence

Everyone who’s not Australian doing an Aussie accent:
CriKeY
G’DaY mATe
it’s so funny how this is what people immediately go to
Steve irwin is a lad thats why
I wonder where the most "aussie" accent is
Light Speed art I'm Australia but I don't do the accent I do American I don't know why
It’s annoying cuz we actually don’t say that
1:41 wait people know Adelaide exist
@Yes, I have the coolest username ever okay facts 😔
Thanks for loving Adelaide!!
😳
@Yes, I have the coolest username ever Ah ha ha the southerners of Australia.
Yep my friends parents divorced and her dad lives in Adelaide
Aww as an Australian this makes me so happy! Keep doing what you're doing
@MJ Marvin Jay Murphy my comment was more referring the fact that Maude is representing Australia and doing kickass interviews. The attempt at accents is just very sweet and funny to me like always because I'm not an asshole and certainly can't do any accents well myself!
Ifkrrrr
My fellow Aussi
I'm sure I would have noticed the Rock if he lived here. I mean, we have Uluru, which used to be Ayres Rock, and Dwayne bears a close resemblance.
SvendBosanvovski it was Uluru before the white people invaded and renamed it
@@Michelle-op6cu Yep, "was widely called" Ayres rock would have been a better statement.
Wait isn’t he Hawaiian doe? Sorry I have no idea lol
Sky - Ds Samoan
It’s always been Uluru.
The thing I LOVE about Maudes interviews is that she is quick witted, expressive and confident AND FUCKING NORMAL, and it makes the celebrities that are not used to having people like that around them a bit uncomfortable. Some of them seem like they are not used to people interrupting them in normal conversation. It's often funny to see them try and have the "one-up" answer but it's really not that funny, and Maude knows it :) Sometimes they look around the room while expressing an answer to gain support for them because they are intimidated by her. I FUCKING LOVE IT! I really wish it wasn't the end of times because I REALLY want more of these :(
@Cassie K There are a billion other interviews done in exactly the same room with exactly the same questions about exactly the same movie to exactly the same actors on exactly the same day. I just like these because they are different. If I want the info I'll watch one of those interviews. If I want to watch the celebrity squirm and a bit of light-hearted banter... I'll watch one of these :) You have a valid point about an interviewers job, but with these promotional movie interviews I think there are just SO many of them set up throughout the day for the actors, that it's good to see a bit of a wildcard one!
I like her, but the talking over people is just rude in my opinion
I love how none of them went to western Australia 🤣🤣
Well no one ever comes to NT, so you got it better 🤣
no one ever talks about alice springs
@Isaac the great lmfao that is the most Australian youtube comment I think I've ever seen
@Isaac Tubirore ah yes, the aussie Floridian.
Or Tasmania 😂😂
We're like the the state that EVERYONE forgets about
wont lie hearing the bogan "oioioi" come out of her while the others looked confused got me right in the Aussie feels.
I’m an Aussie.
And I’m sitting here laughing my head off.
Sometimes I just randomly start doing an Aussie accent.
And sometimes I suck. 😂
Kate Winslet does an amazing Aussie accent in The Dressmaker!
TRUTH
And the movie Holy Smoke
Such an underrated film and performance!
@Alec Wigan she’s not American 😅 she’s British
Phenomenal movie!! Its great !!
Who is that interviewer ? She’s the bomb. I love her
Maude Garrette
As an Aussie this was annoying but funny at the same time! Part of me just wants to jump through the screen and teach them how to do a proper one
2:05 first celebrity I've heard who has been to Cairns, Good on ya Daisy 🇭🇲 CNS in the house
I'm sorry Maude - I've never heard of you until I saw this video... The way you handled these interviews was friggin awesome. They were all putty in your hands. Good job!
I was the opposite. I was thinking the interviewer was an actress and trying to remember what I knew her from! #nerdlove
I don’t know what it is about australia but I haven’t heard hollywood stars be more enthusiastic about any country like they are about aus. I love that!
I used to do commercials & tv shows & also movies as an extra. The Americans would come over with their stars but they always used our sound & lighting people because ours are the best in the world. Consistency & clarity was the beauty of the Australian film industry.
Haha, I always say Australia and Canada are cousin countries as well! I remember when I was travelling in north america and we were crossing from the USA to Canada, everyone's passports were getting thoroughly checked. But my cousin and I, when they saw our Australian passports just gave us the stamp and waved us on through. It was a very warm welcome.
You’ll hear “gday mate” more in rural towns
This is celebs talking about Australia not doing australian accents
Maude- you are one of the best Aussie journo out there. Very lively interviews.
3:04 that subtle G'day by Director Krennic
I love how this video had 0:41 Margot, Cate and Katherine who are all Aussie (edit) also Ben
Also, bless that treasured soul that is Ezra Miller 2:55❤️
Yeah well, Ezra is not part of Hollywood anymore
Yup this did not age well
Ezra is bades
i love how celebs seem to love yu as much as we do xD
Two best Australian accents I’ve heard are Adrian Brody in Backtrack and Sophie Okonedo in The Slap.
Kate Winslet nails the accent, i have yet to come across anyone who does it as well as she does.
Meryl Streep
I find aussie accent fun and interesting because of jake and now im currently watching every video thats related to Aussie
I bought my bass guitar in OZ, so when I look at it it says GDAE!
Amazing😂
OJJ getting around Adelaide is a day maker 👌🏼
@Joshua Schoonwater cmon, u know its overrated
Why would anybody want to go to Adelaide?
Maude Garrett is amazing . So likeable. Love her
🥰🥰
loved this
Oh I my god havent seen Maude since the sourcefed days.. you really climb the ladder interviewing these top class celebrity.. SO PROUD
Everybody loves Maude.
Loved the video!
I live in Melbourne and say “G’day” all the time, to anyone. It’s what you’d say in the arvo or if you don’t know what time it is. Before midday, you’d usually say “Morning”. ( That’s the greeting, not stating the bloody obvious).
I guess it varies all around Australia bc I live in Sydney and I’ve prolly only heard one person say g’day ever
@@user-uh9sf5sg3n literally, n i'm in melbourne...
The Aussie reporter is very kind and fun!
Honestly would be easy for Matthew Mcconaughey to do an aussie accent, he's from texas
and as they say aussies are just british texans
Why does that make so much sense
He lived in Australia too, worked on a farm in his early 20s so he knows his way around here.
Most Aussies think the pommies as a bunch of wingers
I love that
Uhhhh... 😕
Daisy Ridley had the most genuine Aussie accent.
All this made me realise is how big The Rock is
And how small Kevin Hart is..
Jesus wept he is big
@01:50 wow! Someone actually likes Adelaide! ❤
She has great energy! 😁
I love the Aussie accent it’s so satisfying to hear
I’m Australian- it’s not until you are overseas and hear other aussies, that you realise how horrible it is.
@@happytraveller2122 horrible it’s a great acent
0:49 pretty sure that's Cate Blanchett, riggghhhttt?
when Taylor said that he went to the blue mountains I got so happy (bc I live there) and idk why
Maude is a queen
She’s lovely!
An Australian myself for 63 years have never heard these sayings, in Perth WA
Thats cause Perth may aswell be a different country
0:53 why tf does his name change so much i remember him being Jaeden Lieberher like huh?
I'm Aussie in Queensland Australia.
Our presenters/interviewers can be so uncomfortable and cringey.
But Maude, you're awesome.
Kevin alongside Dwayne.😍😂
One of the first buzzfeed videos I've genuinely liked
this isn’t buzzfeed lol
I live Adelaide South Australia
She’s great!
You little rippa!
Flamin Pelicans!
Good on ya mate!
I wanna know when O'Shea Jackson came to Adelaide? 😱😍
WAIT!!! I didn’t know Matthew was Moon 😆
Im so proud to be Aussie 🥳🥰
sameeeee
Gwyneth Paltrow's attempt was for sure the most accurate and really sounds like an everyday Australian.
I love being aussie sometimes
Look at this face 0:11 lol. She released his accent 😂
I fully didn't know till about 6 months ago the rest of the world did not say arvo. Like why? Afternoon is such a long word.
0:38 all hale the king of Aussie slang
1:50 summed it up perfectly
Ah god it hurts hearing the rock say he went to school and lived n Australia because he didn't, he did those things in New Zealand....
It's excellent accent...love it
Love the section 3.35 where the guy asks if shes from Australia. She then ask him if he has been to Australia NO that was a gottcha
Someone actually loves Adelaide! (My city).
I only found out after the fact the Tom Hiddleston was on the Gold Coast "AGHH!!!"
Out of all the words the captions screw up,. The one word that is phonetically pronounced wrong is spelled right in the captions:
Says Melbin; "Melbourne" comes out
ugh, we Australians love nothing more than hearing about ourselves and it's a little embarrassing -_-
Daisy Ripley went to Cairns OMG
Haha Maude is so funny
Whats some Aussie/NZ foods, that are not just branded snacks and drinks super-processed or similar to other countries foods, and one can cook or bake at home? I only can think of Lamingtons, and perhaps meat pies (but those exist in other countries). It seems UK (inc Scotland), Canada, Ireland and US all have much more domestic cuisines than Australia/NZ. There's definitely plenty of Aussie slang, like there is in UK (in Scotland), Canada, Ireland, and US.
i am so surprised when the celebrities learn the Australian accents :-)
John Goodman what a awesome actor
The best and flawless Australian accent was from Kate Winslet in The Dressmaker
Omg finally someone that knows adelaide
Aussies and Canadians are basically the same, but we just drink our coldies too many lads.
5:26 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm ded
MAUDE OMG
people trying on an aussie accent makes my day (i have an accent)
Meryl Streep's Aussie accent in Evil Angels was the best I've ever heard. It's so accurate it even has tinges of Lindy's birth country, New Zealand, in it.
Exaggerated vowels and Cockney inflections do not equate to an Australian accent.
@@alexanderdickson419 I re-watched it last night, just to make sure I wasn't getting it mixed up with Kangaroo Jack, or Quigley Down Under et al. It's pretty good. Defo not scornworthy. As an Aussie I'd give her a box of goon and a rat's coffin for effort.
@@alexanderdickson419 To be fair to Meryl, she wasn't trying to do a straight Australian accent, she was doing Lindy Chamberlain's accent, which is a cross between Australian and Kiwi. Meryl also said in interviews that it was the hardest accent she'd ever had to do and even after eight months of filming she still didn't feel she'd really mastered it. You know an accent is hard when even Meryl Streep says she can't do it
@3:48 Noi!
I'M THE REAL AUSSIE ABORIGINAL AUSTRALIAN
I’m Australian Dutch quite real also
I'd bloody love to go to oz but it costs many moneys :(
deathwatch27 Aussie mate
You should come mate
That's why our dollar is kept deliberately low to encourage foreign tourists.
😸 Fun (& funny) video
Dammit, John called the bluff! Other countries are catching on to us!
4:57 hi Oprah
My favorite part is when Emma Stone asking do you not eat it as an adult... She says shhh cameras on lol and Emma Stone keeps asking like wait what I dont get the j lol do you eat it
john goodman doing an aussie accent kinda sounds like my grandfather i'm not joking my grandfather sounds exaclty like john but with an aussie accent
Saying Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi is not originally from Australia. It actually comes from Wales. The Welsh pastry sellers would venture down into the tin mines selling their wares calling out “Oggy Oggy Oggy” and the tin miners would respond saying “Oi Oi Oi”.
Any American that can put on a convincing Aussie accent deserves an Oscar, unfortunately none of the above can pull it off. The only one I have seen that is truly convincing s Kevin Kline in Fierce Creatures.
Celebrity that has an awesome Aussie accent, Kate Winslet.
Crikey mate how's your day going mate its Aussie Day on Tuesday oi oi oi
1:44 straight facts
I picked up a sardine hitchhiking. I said where you been? He said in Cairns.
Then we ate lunch and went to throw out the sandwich wrapper. I said "Where's ya wheelie bin?" He said "I wasn't in Cairns, I's wheelie bin in jail."
Video should just be called “Celebrities mentioning Australia”
John Goodman looks like Russell Crowe with his Aussie accent.
