Mary-Ellen Hall is the head softball coach at Houston Christian University (HCU).
With over 900 career wins, she holds the record for most wins by a coach in all sports at HCU and ranks as the second longest tenured coach in NCAA Division I.
In 2018, Mary-Ellen experienced a transient ischemic attack (TIA), commonly known as a mini-stroke, and then a more severe stroke.
Mary-Ellen participated in the TIRR Memorial Hermann Challenge’s rehabilitation program and was fitted with an ankle-foot orthosis to assist with her mobility. Determined to return to work, the head softball coach continues to lead her team at HCU and live an active lifestyle.
