I bet you a million bucks that there's better roadside stands no one has ever heard about.
Yes its always bias
they could've picked any stand and this comment would happen, the truth is, its about more than just him, its Michelin recognizing that anyone can be capable of cooking outstanding food. In fact this will inspire the right people to become even better at their stands to win such a title.
You sound so jealous and bitter. LOL
@@cardion411 he's still right
I've eaten there. It's very mid, not bad, not good. Definitely can find just as good or better places nearby, I used to work very close to that taquería.
Chef Martinez : there is no secret

The secret is to eat the tacos while standing up.

As a Mexican, please I beg you don't use the word luxurious. Those tacos are so simple. There are way better tacos than this.
Aveces la simple puede ser lo mejor.
Aunque eso es subjetivo, claro.
The luxurious tacos that deserve a "Michelin Star" in Mexico are the ones made in a remote place on Chiapas, with Wagyu beef boiled with Fiji/Niagara/Icelandic water and gold leafs.

5 bucks for a Taco in Mexico? The world has gone mad!
I'm Mexican / American and I was thinking the exact same thing when they said the price!
Did you notice the amount of meat they use for each taco and how it varies by your choice of meat? Typically, tacos have a minimal amount of chopped meat, often masked by other ingredients. Keep that in mind next time.
@@dmgfoto4508Pndjo no miraste que es mucha carne para cada taco? A lo mejor sea esa, no?

ITS A MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANT.... its probably the only michelin star restaurant that you can afford...
No surprise, many more to come. Some of the best food in the world comes from the streets. Some of these stands have master family-owned recipes passed down through generations, and it's time for them to get the recognition they deserve. 👏🏻👏🏻
Incredible achievement! 🌮 This Michelin star truly shows the culinary excellence that can be found in street food and small, traditional establishments.

As a Mexican I could have gone the rest of my life without a taco restaurant having a Michelin Star. We know what we have. Don't need that type of validation.

I don’t think you understand what a Michelin star means or is for (which makes sense; you can’t even spell it correctly). Hint: it has zero to do with validating anyone’s sense of worth.

Someone got paid off or Michelin has lowered its standards.
Felicidades califas de leon es lo que queremos comer la mejor comida
I feel Michelin needed to rate places like this rather than the other way around even if the business boomed. Mostly because Michelin guide is mostly for fancy people, which is weird because you'd think a tyre company reviewing places to eat would cater towards affordable options.
Everyone in Mexico City says there are waaayyy better ones than those. These are avaerage. Their words. I guess a couple more taquerias will be getting Stars soon.

There must be some serious brujeria (black magic) going on here because $5 for a taco is very expensive LOL!! This is grilled meat with barely anything on it. If you eat tacos, like we (hispanics) do then you know something else has to be going on.
Still won't go there, too loco for my sanity. 💯
5 pesos? No. $5 USD…NO MANCHES!

The only 🌮 worth waiting 2 hours for is pink.
I'm glad he is getting the award but they look like normal tacos. There are hundreds of thousands of taco shops in Mexico and there are better taquerias. Please note that there aren't any rice and beans in the plates. Nobody serves tacos with a side of rice and beans I'm not sure what's going on.
Now anyone can get a Michelin star
Except blacks
They didn't even ask the shop owner they just invited themselves to make that review. We know our food is good last thing we are worried about is if other people like it.
Except african americans
Oaxaca in Michigan is flat out killer
5 dollars a taco?!
michelin guide is such a sham.
I know for sure that there are atleast 20 other taco stands just as good that the guide completely brushed over
not even that, the clear bias they have over certain cuisines as to them taking this long to finally recognize mexican cuisine makes it clear.
