Since he mastered wood release which is the combination of Earth and Water release he became a living vessel of gathering Nature energy. Because wood is basically Nature itself and thus making his body naturally suitable to absorb and balance Nature energy. That's probably why he can switch to sage mode instantly.

If you said his name was hidden because of enemies you're just wrong, Sarutobi had his grandson literally walking around the village and he was hokage for 50+ years, definitely had shit tons of enemies.
Edit: This would be the same case with Mirai AND Konohamaru they are the grandchildren of Sarutobi Hiruzen, the 3rd Hokage and the 3rd God of Shinobi, (Sage of Six Paths, Hashirama, Hiruzen) Why would you not hide that if you want to hide Minato's last name? he was the 4th person to get a run on sight order {headcanon} --> (yes its said somewhere that he was the first person ever, but there is no way hes getting a run on sight order when Madara, Hashirama or Hiruzen never get one) and was the 4th Hokage

I think it makes even more symbolic sense (in a "this is a stretch" kinda way). The senju and uchia are linked forever through hashirama and madara. Two friends from waring clans who couldn't see eye to eye. The entire goal of the senju would be to dissolve themselves and other clans and integrate into the village like you said. That would mean children with multiple clans abilities. What is a more symbolic than a decendent of the senju (kakashi) to inherit a sharingan from an uchia (obito). I imagine you would be able to explain this better but it helps this idea of kakashi being the grandson of tobirama

I read a lot of comments saying that Kakashi has low chakra but for me, for a non-Uchiha shinobi to able to use the sharingan in considerable amounts of time means he got a lot of chakra. This is on top of him using Ninjutsu while using sharingan. That for me means he gots lots of chakra. That probably helped by having a BIT of the Senju DNA. An ordinary shinobi from a no-name clan or bloodline can't do that.

    • @IamChristopherBones
      @IamChristopherBones Před rokem +12

Actually his eye drains his Chakra literally 24/7 because he can't deactivate it. Which is why he's described and even tells naruto mid-shippuden that naruto has around 4× the amount of Chakra he(Kakashi) does, note he's saying he has 4x the amount of Chakra while his Chakra is being drained 24/7, in fact after losing his sharingan and shown when he's a kid without sharingan he has enormous Chakra reserves. You can reference Kakashi's light novel(at the end he creates a purple lightning jutsu that covers the whole sky. I forget what novel this next piece of info comes from but kakashi also between Naruto Shippuden and Boruto actually builds a mud wall around an entire village/town, holds it up for 2 days straight while fighting enemies the entire time. Aside from losing Kamui and being more Genjutsu sensitive now, Kakashi still knows his 1,000+ jutsu without his Chakra cap(the sharingan), giving him roughly an amount of Chakra comparable to 3/4of narutos(guesstimate) and his jutsu can now be produced on a much larger(kage+) level since the sharingan isn't consistently sucking away his Chakra 24 hours a day. People say he was the weakest kage, but in fact thanks to losing his sharingan I'd put him right there with the 3rd hokage, only behind(imo) the Naruto,1st,3rd, and maybe 2nd hokage. Something I know about Japan is that at one point in time (and possibly still), it was customary for a spouses to take the name of the family with the more prestigious social standing. Usually this was done to keep family businesses in the family, so a businessman with no sons would arrange for one of his daughters to be married to a capable man of less social standing so as to "gain a son," and he would take the wife's family name.
So it's not crazy to believe that, since the Senju wanted to strengthen the bonds of the various clans of the village, that despite they're clan's renown they would all "marry into" the various clans of the village, thereby raising the power and prestige of the village as a whole.

I like this idea. As I've just rewatched Naruto, I've been wondering why some people have clans while others seem to be from ordinary citizen families and just so happen to become Shinobi. As a matter of fact, there are only three people in the Konoha 12 that do not have clan names that we are aware of (those being Sakura, Tenten, and Rock Lee). However, if I take your idea into account, then it would make more sense.
Essentially, the "Haruno Clan" doesn't exist because Kizashi Haruno (Sakura's dad) is the son of a Senju who took his wife's last name. Tenten and Rock Lee technically don't have traditional surnames, but I have an idea about this as well. Tenten is likely descended from a Senju couple who simply removed their last names (if your theory is applied), which would explain her talent for sealing jutsu since the Senju and Uzumaki clans were close.
In the case of Rock Lee, I do not believe that he is descended from the Senju at all. Rather, I believe that Lee, Guy, and Dai are all related through something similar to those who followed Ninshu. A grouping of people who were not given chakra and, instead, chose to hone their taijutsu abilities to keep up with the development of ninjutsu and shinobi. In all likelihood, that group was decimated during the warring states era and only a few survived, leaving them no other option than to branch out and go into hiding until a tentative peace was reached. Then they had kids and so on and so on.

I think this is an absolutely cool theory, but I also think there are a few notable flaws with it.
firstly the eye colors. Normally children in Naruto resemble the more important parent in both hair/eye color. (By important I mean as in important for the story) Both Sakumo and Kakashi lack the red eye Tobirama has, unless we count the Sharingan Kakashi obtained through Obito as a hint of some sort.
Secondly and more importantly chakra. Senju are confirmed to have large pools of chakra. While Sakumo's chakra isn't known, we do know Kakashi has a lot less, significantly less for that matter. It's not even close to comparable to a Senju. Chakra is likely one of those things that does get passed down genetically. Since whole clans wouldn't be full of it if it weren't passed down.
That's pretty much it. Besides that they do have a lot of similarities. And I can't see how else Sakumo would even be able to get a piece of a Hokage cloak. It's easily the strongest piece of evidence here that supports the theory. There are significantly more similarities than there are not.

I always speculated Tobi's wife in this instance was secretly an Uchiha so they pulled a hidden sand maneuver and "immigrated" a new clan so as not to cause problems.
My only backings for this is Kakashi taking to Obitos Sharingan reasonably well with lots of training, but not getting it under control fully as he's not its owner nor full blooded, which would explain why he doesn't gets EMS or develop a Sharingan of his own, but is eventually able to use Kamui.
Although another factor that helps this theory (and NChammers) is take a look at Danzo who was only a small step down from Hiruzen in terms of shinobi strength, and what the man had to fuse onto himself just to use a Sharingan for Izanagi. Itachi himself states at one point simply having an eye is not enough, and only Uchiha blood/body has the stamina to withstand the power of their eyes, Yet for all we know Kakashi never had to be grafted Hashirama cells nor any other kind of external aid to use Kamui. Which would at minimum help the idea he already has some Senju in his family tree and/or Just possibly even Uchiha in his lineage.

So, following the same logic tsunade is the same age as jiraya, whom trained minato and minato went to train Kakashi. Age wise that makes jiraya old enough to have fathered Kakashi who is the same age the granddaughter. If anything sakumo would be the grandson of tobirama which aligns perfectly because he'd be slight younger than jiraya and tsunade. Being the generation directly under tsunade's. I came up with this same theory a few weeks ago when thinking about a possible Naruto DnD campaign, just with some slight differences. The main thing being that the seeming disappearance of the Senju is because they married off into the various clans of the hidden leaf to solidify alliances, even the men taking on the other clans family name. Afterwards, there were only a handful of Senju left, and with the 2 strongest Senju gone, they had some infighting about who the new leader of the clan should be. The leaders of these 2 factions were unable to resolve their disputes and decided to split into separate clans with the Tobirama's heirs as their respective leaders. The one faction became the Hatake clan with Sakumo as the clan head. The other faction became the Namikaze clan, with Minato's father being the clan head. The reason for the split being that Minato's father was the older brother and his supporters believed Sakumo was too young and inexperienced. Sakumo's supporters believed it was clear that Sakumo was more talented and strength and talent were most important in choosing a leader and the elders could lead the clan until he came of age. They also feared their enemies would wipe them out since their numbers had dwindled to such an extent and Tobi and Hashi were gone. Also, the flying raijin scroll was left with Minato's father, which is how Minato came across it. Minato's father just wasn't talented enough to figure it out. Not sure how everything lines up but it seemed interesting

I speculate that in the Boruto time jump we'll see a non-Senju-connected character get passed up for Hokage for a Senju-connected character which will spark another Ninja war, or Land of Fire civil war, and unveil the holes in Senju lineage. This could potentially be why we see Boruto and Kawaki fight in the first episode of Boruto, an "other" allowed to live in the Leaf fighting a descendent of the ruling class. I wouldn't be surprised if Kishimoto had this worked to some extent out from the start of Naruto.

It's too much to be coincidence. I think we place too much weight in the Sannin and Minato when we consider the strength of other powerful shinobi from Konoha. Sakumo, being about 10 years older than Minato, was considered more powerful than the Sannin during his time. It's arguable that all 3 Sannin became more powerful than Sakumo was by the time they reached the summit of their power, but considering Sakumo couldn't get any stronger due to dying, it's worth considering that Sakumo could have kept growing stronger as well. Just the fact that he resembles Tobirama so heavily while NOBODY else in Konoha does is compelling, let alone his absurd strength, style of fighting, attire, and attitude. The guy chose to save his friends despite the dishonor. Sounds like Hashirama and Tobirama to me.
As far as Minato is concerned, Flying Raijin is what really carried him into the "Run On Sight" level of threat to other villages. Sakumo, however, did not have such an incredibly powerful jutsu in his arsenal that we know of. To achieve the "Run On Sight" level of threat without jutsu like Flying Raijin or kekkei genkai or dojutsu or anything else.... it's kind of absurd. His power must have been so monumental that he was able to rival someone like Minato in battlefield-impact off his kenjutsu and the White Light Chakra Sabre technique. That's bonkers. I'm just imagining Sakumo going all-out and slashing his sword across the battlefield to create something like Gin's zanpakuto from Bleach.
I really imagine Sakumo learning something like the Front Lotus but instead of wrapping up and taking down his enemy, he just extends the Chakra Blade and becomes an enormous blender with his sword just lashing out as he rapidly spins. That's enough theorycrafting from me.

To me, Tsunade's age kind of disproves this. Tsunade is around the same age as Sakumo, but she is Hashirama's granddaughter, whereas you are saying that Sakumo is Tobirama's son. This would mean that Tobirama would have had a kid around 20+ years after Hashirama. Also keep in mind that Tsunade was born before Hashirama died (at least in the anime, I can't remember if that's cannon in the manga or not). It's certainly possible that Tobirama could have had a child 20 years after Hashirama did, but I think it's pretty darn unlikely. Theory time: Hashirama also had a son and we know who he is. Now clearly we know Hasirama had a child who was the parent to Tsunade but that parent was never seen, or was he? See Hashirama died not long after Tsunade was born so her father must have been someone powerful (having Uzumaki and Senju blood would double down on that) but because Hashirama, Tobirama, Minato (being married into the Uzumaki family), Tsunade, Kakashi (according to this theory), and Naruto are all related only one stands out. Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Hiruzen was a young man around 24 when he became 3rd Hokage meaning he was about 20 when Hashirama died and Hashirama was older than Tobirama who was around 30 in the war so it's possible that Hashirama could have been 36 when he died meaning he'd be sixteen when Hiruzen was born. Not wanting everyone to know of Hiruzen's true lineage due to reckless actions he gave him a different last name to hide him away, but not Uzumaki cause that would be too obvious.
But wait, The sarutobi clan joined Konohan early and were allies with Hashirama so Hiruzen belongs to them. WRONG! The Sarutobi clan were friends with the senjus and thus accepted Hashirama's purposal to raise young Sarutobi as their own.
But Tsunade was trained by Sarutobi and she was 12 before he was Hokage so he'd have to have her at 10 or 12 himself. Besides wouldn't he know his lineage if he named Tsunade a Senju?
Very good points and there is an answer for both. You see we see a young Sarutobi without his hokage gear training tsunade and the others but for tsunade to be Hashirama's grand daughter then there'd only be a gap of about 30 years for her to turn twelve in meaning that Hiruzen had her around 16 like Hashirama had him. As for the name yes, by the time he was a genin he learned his power was great and Hashirama took a liking to him, even having Tobirama train him specifically with Danzo and Shisui's father. But what made him so special?
Oh yeah he had control of all five Chakra nature's, something tied to Hagaromo or his decendants, like I don't know HASHIRAMA?
So he'd learned about his true name and great power but be old enough and wise enough to understand the deception. Calling Tsunade a Senju would allow him to train her as a pupil as parents are never seen training their kids on teams. In fact no joining instructor had kids until Asuma and Kurenai had a daughter and then they retired so maybe to ensure he could train her he changed her name and then named his Son Sarutobi to preserve their great name as Homage.
It's a stretch but definitely makes sense. This would explain why he's a God of shinobi like Hashirama, because they are related. Also this explains why he took care of Naruto. Not only was he Minato's boy but he also would not be related because his mother was an Uzumaki. This also means that Konohamaru would be Senju too and that would explain why his Chakra is so high as to master shadowclones, rasengan, and transformation not to mention fire and wind styles at the same rate as Naruto. Their blood line is insanely rich in Chakra.
But wait, wind style? Omg, Asuma and Konohamaru are fire and wind shinobi. Wind by nature and fire through training, and that's like Narutowho is wind and water and wind is so rare it's only found in one place the Uzumaki line! (Gaara theory supported)
Bam! The Sarutobi's are related to the Uzumaki's and they are the decendants of the God of shinobi himself. The time line matches, the Chakra nature's match, the secrecy and lineage of Hokage make sense. So what do you guys think, is this possible or will Tsunade's parents remain a mystery? Let me know in the comment section, down below.

The Earth and Water villages have no ties to the Sage of Six paths and don't follow a line of kage... yes Darui broke that line but only after the war to end the curse of the Kaguya decendants.

The main reason why I am hesitant about this theory is Kakashi's low level of chakra. We know that it is the Senju-trait to have massive chakra reserves, a basically never ending pool of energy to tap from that allows them to dominate the field on stamina alone. I think it is less than Uzumaki, but both coming from Ashura, it is still considerably. This is something we have seen with all Senju up to date, and that is the part that Kakashi is lacking. He was exhausted just after a couple of minutes using the Sharingan, and he regularly lands in hospital for no other reason than that he has overexerted his Chakra. Kakashi has even estimated that 12 year old Naruto already had stronger natural chakra reserves than him, this doesn't sound that much Senju.

I always thought Minato was Tobirama's secret kid. They have similar abilities and hair.
If you look around at almost all the konoha ninja you see a little of either Hashirama or Tobirama. Maybe they had illegitimate children with other non-wife women after the village was formed. Would also be one reason to explain why many of the senju descent take their mother's last name. My theory is that Tenten is related to Hashirama.
