Of all the Marks Angstrom could’ve tormented… he picked the one Mark who literally did NOTHING wrong.
It's the only Mark he thought he could beat but joke was on him. If this was a story about Angstrom its a tragic one showing that revenge is not the answer.

@huntercool2232 You need to understand that the Marks that are bad are the ones that also are not holding back and is probably trained with omni man. Those marks would absolutely beat the shit out of Angstrum and probably even more brutally. Mark didn't hold back for less than 10 seconds and smashed Angstrums brains out

4:53 In the Comics, it was the actual Spider-Man. Plus, there was also a "spin-off" comic (Marvel Team-Up Issue #14) that Marvel made that showed what him and Spider-Man were doing before Angstrom brought him back

I like how every time Mark gets really slept on by somebody, they almost instantly regret it. With the exception of Nolan, Lucan and Anissa, Mark could beat the brakes off of just about everyone he's fought. Truly the only reason he loses most if the time is because he was raised primarily by a human.
to be fair that list should also include battle beast, who's by far the most dangerous person mark's fought so far

There's just 1 kind of inconsistency that involves anissa
I personally saw Mark being changed by Levi as Batman finally needing to give into killing Joker because of an unavoidable situation, this being exactly that, which is why I really like the Batman cameo
mark broke the one rule. maybe he could have ripped angstrom's arms off since he needed his hands to create portals. he'd still be alive but powerless.

Fun fact that when invincible came back from the portal from Spider-Man’s world the web on him was spiderman actually trying to come to his world without thinking just out of pure intention to help to repay a favor but armstrongs portal closed before he could go snapping the web and then Peter realizes it would’ve been really stupid and proceeds to swing away to go eat dinner with his wife
Is quite possibly one of the craziest episodes in the entire series if not the craziest
Finally someone who notices that Angstrom put Mark in the same situation Anissa did. Similar lines and everything.
I remember the He-Man creator saying He-Man is powerful enough to not kill his enemies and I think Mark wanted to be that. It sucks to see his dream shatter as he realizes so many villains are playing for keeps.
I really felt bad for Angstrom Levy. He was genuinely trying to do good in the beginning of the season but unfortunately it backfired
And, tbh, it would fuck anyone up when all memories of your alternative selves merge into one and practically every memory were traumatic and evil. He was basically incapable of truly realizing this Mark was different
I don't, he was stupid and overconfident, and his hubris was his downfall. Doing the procedure on himself, when he's the only one with the powers, is the first problem. That's putting all your eggs in one basket. Then there's using the Maulers with no oversight. Then there's using them as enforcers thinking they'd follow his orders and not be ornery. THEN THERES GIVING UP ON HIS STUPID UTOPIA BECUASE MARK WOULD DIE. IF HE ACTUALLY CARED, HE WOULDVE TOOK THAT LESSON ON HUBRIS WITH HIM INTO THE FUTURE, AND BECOME A BETTER MAN. BUT NO, HE WAS A CHILD WHO ONCE HE COULDNT DO THINGS THE WAY HE WANTED, BROKE EVERYTHING DOWN AND DESTROYED ALL HE AND HIS OTHER SELVES WORKED TOWARD.
ANGSTROM IS A MORON AND HE DESERVED WORSE THAN HE GOT.

published concurrently with invincible's battle with angstrom levy was an issue of "marvel team-up" where invincible and spider-man take down doc ock. this episode clearly didn't get the copyrights to use the marvel characters. mark also met aunt may, mary jane and the avengers and poked fun at all their supe names.
Cecil cleaned up the house, but still ain't cleaned up the safe house across the street from Mark. 😂
Even readers of the comics have been Shocked by the show!! They've done a great job pulling from the source material yet mixing it up just enough to keep it from being predictable for comic purest.

The way the lady reacted… about mark killing… I felt the same way too. It’s tough watching someone do something they don’t want too but have too.
This whole episode is what the ending scene in Man of Steel was TRYING to do. Crazy.
Instead of "trying to do", I would say the last part of Man of Steel did without having to verbalize it all. No shade at verbalizing Mark's thoughts in this episode; that was done well.
100% understand wanting to go into shows and movies blind with no comic knowledge, but after each season I do recommend reading the Invincible books up until where the show leaves off!
This episode was crazy and depressing at the same time.
Just when I was thinking "Where's Silent? I haven't seen her in a min." Here she is for the finale. But great season finale, I can't wait to see season 3.. I'm tempted to read the comics, but I'll try and be patient

The reason he gets so much stronger after he sees Debbies arm is because viltrumites don't produce adrenaline. But humans do, so that's why mark is so strong
It was actually Spider-Man in the comics, but they couldn't get the rights. I like to think that it is Spidey, he is just wearing a different costume as he usually does.
I'm pretty sure it's just a Spider variant since he said he had experience with different dimensions especially lately.
It’s a Spider-Man variant who was probably recruited by Miguel given that he said that he recently had experiences with the multiverse
Poor Oliver and Debbie. I've never been more infuriated during this show than now seeing what was done to them.
In the comics Kirkman was writing Marvel Team-Up while writing Invincible, so he had a hint of Spidey at the end of an Invincible issue and then had Mark cross over with Spidey in Team-Up and then had Mark come back with webbing (from where Peter was trying to come with to help) in the next Invincible issue.
I am glad they made it work here, what with the design and voice actor and Spiderverse reference.

When Mark said 'I thought you were stronger' I believe he was talking about himself and having the strength internally not to kill. Not to succumb to that temptation. And he failed that test.

yeah this line was a little clearer in the comic but it's about angstrom. i actually do feel like the way it's delivered in the show might be meant to imply that it's about angstrom AND about himself though
All for theory crafting or looking for the deeper meanings in these lines but this was clearly about Angstrom. Like the other commentor says he says “he told me he was stronger”
The wording in this episode is very intentional with double meanings though Invincible is definitely talking about Angstrom. Eve saying "You don't deserve this" at the end can be taken to mean two different things depending on Mark's state of mind too: "You don't deserve the pain you've suffered" or "You don't deserve a relationship (with Eve) yet". 😬
Fun fact , Robert kirkman (who made the invincible comics ) also made the walking dead comics , which was how they was able to get the walking dead universe in here . But ya that was Josh Keatons Spider-Man , from spectacular spiderman . Which u guys gotta watch , it’s some of the best Spider-Man content out there
I’m not gonna spoil too much, but just so people know the Mark in the cape in the comics is known as “Sinister Mark.” Like Angstrom Levy said in almost all other universes Mark Grayson is an absolute piece of crap. But Sinister Mark… Sinister Mark is arguably the worst. All the other Mark Graysons to a degree still believe they are “doing the right thing” and are really just misguided in what they believe. But Sinister Mark is just straight up evil, and he knows it. He doesn’t do bad things because he thinks he has to, he does bad things because he WANTS to and enjoys watching people suffer. I won’t say anymore, but let me just tell you that when you learn the stuff he does it makes Nolan look like a Boy Scout.
I never read the comics but I can already tell he has to be the worst he acts and looks like a psychopath compared to the very first one we saw the one that snap eve neck

I’d actually argue that this is the perfect Debbie in this reality…. Debbie is the key. If you watch with subtitles the scene that mark was chopping heads there’s a subtitle in that scene “Debbie sobs”. …it’s either a carry over from then previous scene or mark kills her in that scene

I love that there’s the quiet little implication that the reason why Angstrom doesn’t find “good” Invincibles is because they have a tendency to sacrifice themselves in trying to do the right thing.

Crazy episode,Angstrom was stupid to think he can kill a Viltrumite and he deserved what happened to him. It was shocking to see Mark not holding back,but he had no choice really,can't believe Kate is alive,I didn't expect that :)

Thanks for the vids guys. This episode hit so hard. I remember reading the moment he killed Levy, and like I was shook and had to take a break for like a day. This episode hit so hard. Yeun's voice acting tore me apart in the last half too. Can't help loving Mark and wanting to help him. Man this is one of the few comic book cartoons that make me so interested in reading the comics. You are good on this one - the series on Prime makes some good improvements to the comic, a rare thing
I am hoping we onlu have to wait until june for season 3. It would make sense its the half-year mark and releasing weekly episode of 8 will give fans enough to be sasiated for another year, maybe.

The spider man in the episofe is josh keaton who voiced spider man in spectacular spider man. People see him as the definitive spider man
From what I understand, they finished Season 2 last year, Amazon decided to split the season, and they went right into working on Season 3.
"I thought you were stronger" is the most roasting line in this situation, blud blew the guy's brain and still accidentally trashtalking him
The sad part is those Marks and Viltrimites are still out there ane will never receive justice
