Real talk though: The character animations in this game are incredible. Usually when a game tries to make their characters look and animate as life-like as possible with the aid of performance capture, they typically suffer from the dreaded "Uncanny Valley" effect. Death Stranding also uses performance capture and yet the game somehow manages to avoid the uncanny valley effect with it's characters.

In the age of mocap for games this is one of the best scenes I've ever seen. The detail and fidelity in the character models in this game along with the job done by the actors really bring their scenes to life. The subtle twitch of the mouth and raising of the brow makes carries just as much if not more weight than the spoken dialogue and makes the characters that much more believable. Tommie Earl Jenkins owned this scene.

Didn't connect with his character along the game that much as he was a typical chief/quest-giver character, considered him more of an end-game vilain, as the plot suggested, but this one scene turned it all around. Superb acting & very touching scene.
