On July 19, 2016, a cluster of strong thunderstorms impacted areas of the Southeastern US, including Craven County in North Carolina. Precipitation at isolated areas exceeded 1" per hour, accompanied with a squall line, damaging, gusty winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning and isolated flooding.
The portion of this video was recorded while driving westbound on US Route 70 and NC SR 41 from New Bern, NC. to Trenton. A small microburst may also have been associated with this storm. Enjoy!
No one should be passing during a storm like this.
