  • Having your F150 5.0L's catalytic converter go bad is never fun, and what's worse, your Ford dealer will charge you an arm and a leg for a replacement converter assembly. That's why our friends over at Magnaflow Exhaust have come up with this 48-State Legal Catalytic Converter Assembly. This OE-replacement converter kit comes with an EPA-approved, 48-state legal catalytic converter that's pre-installed in a complete tubing assembly that includes a flange for your truck's factory manifolds, oxygen sensor bungs in the OEM locations, and an outlet tube that hooks up perfectly with the rest of your truck's Y-pipe assembly. The Magnaflow Direct Fit Catalytic Converter Assembly is an excellent way to get your truck back on the road and passing emissions in 48 States without breaking your bank. Each side is sold separately, drivers side and passengers side.

Why do you not show how to remove the 4th bolt on the differential mount hanger?...the one behind the front driveshaft. Practically impossible to a novice...and yet your video editing makes it look so easy.

So much for wearing safety glasses. With all the debris falling you would think someone got something in their eyes at some point.

Two bolts I need help with. The one on the hanger behind the front drive shaft, and the bolt on the top side passenger side catalytic converter. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Could you also add the sockets that you used? Like a deep well swivel etc.

Also, on most of my nuts and bolts, which I will have to replace I had to use extractor sockets because the nuts and bolts kept rounding off

Can you remove less stuff if you cut the old cat in pieces when removing it?

On the cross over , is there a place where I should put the clamp? So it won’t leak air? 3:54

I’d like to know what size extension you guys used, including socket, is it a deep well swivel?

Unfortunately we're not too sure as this was shot at a local shop that we no longer use, it does appear though that it was a deep well swivel.

@@chiquilin102081 just CA requiring cats at all. I understand what they do and yes it’s a good thing I think butttttttt it’s hard to find a good performing one that isn’t as choked at the factory that will actually pass emissions check in CA. I have smog legal intake, exhaust, and tunes and the smog ref gave me crap for all of it. Questioning the state numbers I had stamped to my parts and in the factory booklets. They are also trying to take away all of our RIGHT TO SELF MAINTAIN our OWN vehicles. Ugh.
