Swirly Moon Ring Tutorial -- Learn to Wire Wrap!

Let's make a whimsical moon ring! 🌙 In this tutorial I'm using a thicker 18g (1mm) copper wire because I like the sturdiness of it and I wanted to be able to share any knowledge and tips that came to mind to help you guys who are starting to work with thicker gauge wires. 🌟 BUT PLEASE, feel free to try this tutorial first with a 20g (0.8mm) wire to get familiar with the process and so your fingers don't hate me when you're done 😊 Have fun!
🔨Materials:
- 11" piece of 20g (0.8mm) or 18g (1mm) soft wire (I recommend copper, silver filled or sterling silver. Plated copper wire can work too if it's all you have, but please avoid the hammering steps)
-A marker and pencil with flat bases, or similar objects. These will be used to shape the outside and inside of the crescent moon. The markers I used were approximately 10mm and 7mm in diameter
-Ring mandrel, or a round object similar to your finger size
-Pliers: Chain Nose, Round Nose
-Wire Cutters
-Hammer and Hammering Block (I use a half dome jewelry hammer and mini anvil)
