This video depicts the death of a traditional chief of a town. Traditional chiefs guide their people or local men and investigate cases which they are to examine. They are not herbalist as people assume but a chief can know herbs if only he had that gift before chieftaincy. They provide not only for their children but take care of members of their town as well. A chief without a stool cannot be regarded as a chief because one of the most significant symbol in chieftaincy in Ghana for instance is a stool. When a chief dies, all the town must know a few days after his death so that the family must make preparations towards his burial. Most chiefs are regarded to be rich because most of them have travelled to other places in the world and have had a lot of money as a result. They are the owners of big houses in town for a reason. Before a chief is chosen by their people, a lot of things are taken into consideration as they are to bear the problems of the people. Most of them are educated and know great things in their community and hence are given a befitted burial when they die.
