Why do people divide them? I will never understand
They're 2 completely different artists. Collaborating as a duo will allow both sides to compromise at some point. In Outkast's regard, Andre was the driving force of creativity and people appreciate it. No shade against Big Boi but his bars and flow just can't hang with Andre's. Even Big Boi has sad this. Appreciate them both but recognize the strengths and weaknesses.

I’m so thankful that Killer Mike acknowledged what Big Boi contributed to the first two albums of Outkast… People always talk about Andre 3000 and he is one of the greatest but Big Boi was the one who helped solidified them as a southern staple until Andre hit his stride on Aquemini and helped propel the group worldwide. Lyrically Big Boi was topping Dre on the majority of songs on the first two albums but it took a while before Dre created a lane where he was able to convey himself artistically. He had a few moments here and there on ATLiens but it really clicked on Aquemini.
I always saw Big Boi as the "leader" of Outkast. Dre was nice, but until he became 3K, Big Boi was unquestionably the frontman.

I tear up honestly every time I see an interview with big boi and or Andre because I love them and the group soo much…my older brother put me on to them and I’m soo thankful because I am the biggest forever fan! Our connection is deeply rooted in that commonality and I wanted to give Big Boi his flowers because he deserves that respect!!!
Greatest rap group of all time!! Big Boi doesn’t get the credit he deserves. I even saw 3K say once that he might be respected for his lyrics but Big Boi was the freestyler and battle rapper, and he though Big Boi was better. Both are great, serious respect.

Big Boi is a legend and all round good guy. I met him at afterparty in Melbourne Australia. I was trying to holla at a chick in the VIP section and I was outside the section, he saw what I was doing came over to me shook my hand and said " you hustler man, I lead the league in assisting watch this" he proceeds to whisper in the girls ear and walks away. The chick comes back straight to me and says I didn't know your big boi cousin, I'm like yeah I'm his African cousin living in Australia.. I got skins that night💪🏾💪🏾💯

Big Boi and 3 Stacks are just that duo that at first if you didn't know any better they wouldn't match but they match each other so well that they are hands down Top 5 Rap Duos of all time. Both are lyrical as each other. 3 Stacks gets the credit he deserves but Big Boi not so much. So it is greatly appreciated when he still has time to discuss his brotherhood with Andre 3K. On that note another Outkast album is long overdue...true or absolutely true?
