In this case, the plaintiff could have been raised in a nuclear family, a fatherless home, by grandparents or another family arrangement. It's very telling that the defendant mentioned that he wants his child with the plaintiff to be raised in a two-parent household (and not like him - raised in a single-parent household run by his mother). This statement is indicative of a jealous person, and it also can be perceived as the defendant believing that the plaintiff was raised in a household which he deemed to be better than the one he was raised in.
