ACER ASPIRE ES1-511 E15 How-to Take Apart, Disassemble and ReAssemble

  • Hi!
    No music. No talking. Just work.
    If you are taking your Acer ES1-511 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
    Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
    If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
    Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    Have fun and good luck!!

      +seveno1 You are welcome, "No music! No talking! Just work!" - that's a moto of this channel. Well, except my few videos that are non take apart videos, like video about all laptop parts. BTW, did you watched it?

    Hi regazz ; " I just enjoy watching your videos"..as an ex tv and video service engineer from the 60s they are fascinating to watch in comparison to what is was like back then ..I am sure other service engineers from back then would have said you are brilliant and have great courage in what you do ..Embarking on a complete strip down and reassembly ...

    @regazzz How did you connect the touchpad's wire to its slot? (Around 22:40 mark.) I managed to insert it, but it doesn't stay in for long. This is the hardest part. I am stressed. Please help.
    EDIT: I did it. I was just too cautious of breaking it up. You rock!

    Great video! So much detail. Could you please tell me where the battery is located? I have a weird problem with this old laptop, the surface on the left hand side near the touchpad has warped quite considerably (raised) and I'm concerned if that is where the battery is. The battery no longer charges and just blinks an orange light. Is it in danger of catching fire at all? What warped my laptop? Thank you for any help you can provide.

    • @regazzz
      @regazzz  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi there, you are right, it is mostlikely the battery. Battery is getting "swollen" and obviously pushing everything it can. I just checked eBay and you can find a replacement relatively cheap. I obviously can't recommend using laptop with such battery, it might not catch on fire, but there is no guarantee. Specially if replacement cost $10-20 :-)
      Thank you!
      ps. You can also remove this battery and use your laptop without it.

    Hi Regazzz, I'm watching this in 2019. actually, my laptop had an electric short (i think), so now it's switching on and off, but the screen is all black. nothing is coming on. i tried to remove the battery but i failed at 23:23, i didn't replace those things well, plus my laptop is not responding.

    Hey. Tech noob here. I only want to remove the battery from this laptop. In other videos all the laptops have a small button or latch you have to pull and the battery comes out. But on this laptop there is nothing. I cant even identify the battery. Do i have to remove all the screws in the back and take it apart ? Or am i missing something ?

      In my recent videos I don't use it at all. Initially, I used it to just point out to people of the possibility to shock a motherboard, so they, hopefully, will do their own research and find what they need. Anyway, it is not working. Thank you for watching!

      +Richileu.A Bailey first, try to connect to either external hdmi monitor or tv and see if you are getting a picture after boot.
      if yes it is good. It can be a video cable that isn't properly placet to either motherboard or to a screen if screen was taken apart.

    Why won't you talk in your videos?

    • @regazzz
      @regazzz  Před 8 lety

      +indskab I would probably loose my voice if I would talk in all my videos.
      I understand that it will be probably more useful and so on, but finally it will be all the same. Pretty much the same. Be careful here, be careful there. Use this, use that. This is that part, this is another part. etc.
      Plus I talk a lot and easily switch from one topic to another and viewer will be confused. Also, editing a video where I am talking will be a problem. Plus it is pretty much international. There are people from non English speaking countries and they will not understand my bad English anyway, well, some of them will, but some not at all.
      So, that's pretty much a reason why not.

    • @indskab
