    Some fragrances need more sprays than others. And apply on clothes.
    After a shower, I use a moisturizer (unscented) cream, and wait 3-5 minutes, and after that, I spray on me and on clothes.
    Also, each skin is different.

    2 sprays to the chest of a shirt. 1 to the stomach. 2 to the back of the neck. If I’m wearing short sleeve, 1 spray to each forearm.

    You know, about the wrists? I find, quite vividly, that a scent works so much better, makes itself present to my nose during the day if I spray it NOT on the "palm" side of the wrist but on the "top" side (the "hairy" side). It just seems to blossom and develop there so much more richly than if I spray it on the pulse side. I suspect that whole thing about the pulse point intensifying a scent because of the blood flow is a bit of a crock. Spraying it on the top side makes a scent so much more a satisfying experience during the day.

    • @RobertLaTuso
      @RobertLaTuso Před 25 dny +2

      I always apply to the Top side of wrist as it enhances the performance of fragrances. It is especially useful when trying layering combinations by spraying one fragrance on the top of the wrist and another fragrance on the bottom of the wrist

    Great video , thanks Steve , follow up video would be great to point someone to when they are concerned about lack of compliments. I believe Confidence & Compliments go hand in hand . Obviously nobody will compliment a fragrance they cannot smell on you .
    I was a person that started wearing fragrances late in life . I was also self conscious until I learned “ I wear fragrances for myself , not others “
    I learn to follow most of your tips in the video by being active with others in fragrance community .
    I also now understand longevity and evaporation , as well as what is the the difference between Silage & projection . Those factor determine my spray pattern , fragrance by fragrance, situation by situation, what the environment around me will be like . But it took watching videos like this and some hit & miss myself on Overspraying/ Underspraying . I just let people who ask know , I have a 3-4-5 pattern on most of my collection on the points of body you mention .

    Just recently, I watched a video with Jacques Cavallier (LV fragrances, Tygar) who said pulse points are a myth and don’t help the fragrance… He said it was a holdover from the time when perfumes were in the form of oils.

    Thank you for your advice Steven! To be honest it is so difficult with those „pulse points“. Some CZcamsrs tell their followers to avoid spraying on those pulse points and others recommend it. Maybe I give it a try. Your recommendation with the hair sounds interesting, but since I have thin and sensitive hair, I probably would avoid it. Have a nice weekend and keep up the good work. I do enjoy your calm and detailed style of presentation! Looking forward to watch the video „How to increase the longevity of your scent“! With kind regards from Germany, Julian ✌🏽🙂

      Roja Dove empfiehlt ebenfalls das Auftagen an den Puls Punkten. Ich denke, mal der sollte es wissen. Ein großes Problem bei sehr vielen ist tatsächlich die besagte Geruchsblindheit nach bereits wenigen Minuten. Ich mache aktuell kaum noch Sprühstösse am Hals und auf der Brust sondern mehr an den Schultern und Armen was mir selbst deutlich länger Freude am ausgetragenen Parfum beschert! Grüße gehen raus. 😊

      @@pitbullthebitbull Das stimmt wohl, vielen Dank für ihre Antwort. 👍🏽🙂 Das heißt, dass Sie ihren Duft dann auch auf ihre Kleidung auftragen, oder? Ich bin bisher so bei 3 - 4 Sprühstößen im Halsbereich. Die Bekleidung habe ich bisher vermieden, weil zum einem, wollte ich Verfärbungen vermeiden und zum anderen, soll sich der Duft ja auch verändern. Mein Problem ist, dass ich leider häufig die Düfte nicht mehr wahrnehme und es dann auch mit den Sprühstößen nicht übertreiben möchte, weil ich Größtenteils im Büro arbeite. Andererseits ist es natürlich schön auch mal ein Kompliment zu bekommen. Hat zum ersten Mal mit Parfums de Marly Layton (aktuell habe ich das nur als Duftprobe) funktioniert. Eine Kollegin, die leider nicht mehr bei uns arbeitet, hat mich auf den Duft angesprochen und gesagt, dass ich gut riechen würde. Klingt sicher ziemlich eitel, aber ich habe über die Jahre so viele Düfte ausprobiert, da war das schon ein schönes Gefühl. 😊 Mal sehen was es noch für Tipps und Tricks gibt. Viele Grüße und nochmals vielen Dank!👋🏽

    I work in a children’s hospital so I’m really mindful of how many sprays I do for work. 4-5 max. And I always get compliments from nurses, patients, doctors, my fellow rehab co-workers. When it comes to spraying on the back of my neck … I also spray onto the back of my head. Therefore, my fragrance is in the fade of my hair. Lol. I was wearing Moresque UBAR 1992 one day. 6 hours later after I sprayed it … in a meeting my co-worker goes oh are you wearing something different because it smells good. Now outside of work … I OVERSPRAY! 😂

    I usually spray both my arms. Why? Because when we walk, we sway our arms thus creating a vortex of the scent to extend the sillage coverage.
    Also, I'm not an oversprayer because as we all know, there are many layers to a perfume. If you overspray, people will tend to smell the top notes more. Underspray, or regular spraying, will get to the middle and base notes faster, and thats usually where the beauty of the fragrance is.
    Plus I like to wear the fragrance, not the fragrance wear me. Maybe that explains why I can count on two fingers how many times I've gotten compliments. Lol. Plus, I think women tend to compliment other people (usually other women) more than men do. Men rarely compliment each other. And most men use compliments as a conversational opener. I may be wrong. Just my view.

    I never spray on my inside wrists but on the above side of my arm and inside but never the wrists; it disappears after 15 minutes. Further more' don't be a sissy sprayer. If you paid lot of money to smell good then use it so others can smell aswell. Obviously the ocation is also important. Office ? Party? Clubbing? What time of the year' spring, summer, fall , winter ? So many factors that decide to use how many sprays.

      Mont blanc individuel us the best non offensive smell for daily things. Is a clean soapy like raspberry smell very good on clothes works the best and for the price is a banger. Mont blanc legend is the best from their brand so far, you will get something alluring like all hyped fragrances. Alfred sung purple you can used everyday in every season since is a versatile old cheapie bomb. You could also grab Mont blanc legend spirit for every day use since is something similar to that of invictus aqua 2016 but a little bit better for me.

    “Bruise the molecules?”
    Aren’t you a teacher? Surely you have studied chemistry.

    • @HansHase78
      @HansHase78 Před 26 dny

      You may be able to mechanically shear or denature linear (or multimeric) macromolecules that are 1000 times larger than the organic aromachemicals in fragrance, but certainly not molecules of a molecular weight of < 250 that have to be small enough to evaporate at ambient temperature.
      Also there is no evidence to suggest that those so-called pulse points are warmer than other areas of your skin. Medics will touch pulse points to feel your pulse, not your temperature. Regional differences in surface temperature are not great anyway, but if you want maximum evaporation, spray on chest or armpits or other areas that are close to your body's core...
      (Good advice on applying to hair and clothes for longevity though...)

    • @iamlove5325
      @iamlove5325 Před 26 dny

      @@HansHase78 You aren’t breaking covalent bonds by rubbing your skin together. And atoms without a molecule don’t get “bruised.” You aren’t shaving even hydrogen atoms off of a H20 molecule through rubbing your hands together. Ever.
