PWI was what I consider the foundation of my love for MMO's. I tried all classes (loved Venomancer, Cleric and the aquatic race psychic one) and never got tired of it until I moved onto newer-style games and got older. It was amazing and I remember the world being immersive. Many, many good memories.
I still remembered Perfect World back in 2005-2006. Addicted to it. Still remember my WereFox/Necromancer character named Fook~Mi 🤣🤣🤣 and another Elf Archer character named Lemon. Good old days with my Nightmare guild members. Guild Wars, Holy Hall Dungeon, World Quest, World Event. Grinding so much. Ahhh very² good old days!! Perfect World!!!
Evolved pw is the closest thing we have to the OG i am genuinely enjoying it now

I can see myself playing this. I even played the old Perfect World MMO for a little bit years ago, and there were many cool, fun things about it.

Man...the hours spent on PWI only got up to lvl 80. Got so burnt out with Territory wars, but man I met some really cool people and had so much fun. Miss you all that were on Heavens Tear!
I was also on Heaven's Tear! It was a great server and game experience!

I remember playing Perfect World International being my WoW free alternative back in the day. Had a lot of hours of fun with my Barbarian, Blade Master, Archer, and Wizard.
Oh yea, I had the most fun in any MMORPG in Perfect world. It was as though I spent 2 years of my Life in that game. From doing Dungeons to Clan PVP, it was so much fun. Miss the Good old days.

Thank you! I just registered to join testing! I used to love the game and had multiple characters. Went back a few years later and servers were empty, and it was weird feeling and too quiet. I seen this today and got very excited lol.
Brooo even the theme music makes me smile, i played this as a teenager for 4 years daily. It was amazing. My name was AssassinBoss in EU West, maybe anyone could remember me somehow lol
The combat in this looks pretty good as well as the visual and stunning open world. I'll check it out when it releases and see if it's worth it.

About the classes lock to a race, I agreed it more freedom to play as any race and any class. But that doesnt seem like Perfect World. I really like how different races born in different places and developed different combat tactics.
Man I loved Forsaken World. Every now and then i'll search up the original Freedom Harbour music and just vibe to it. RIP FW
I hope Beast Tamer for the Mythics is in the full game

Damn this brings back memories - I started playing PWI back in 2007 in college; it was uber-addictive. Met some cool people, what a time.
I do miss my tiger character which was decked out sadly forgot the login to it.
Since this can be possibly considered as a successor of the original Perfect World, I would 100% choose the elven race. My main race in Perfect World was obviously the Winged Elves and if I can run this game then my main race will be an elf once again.

It's impossible to feel excited about any upcoming games nowdays. Everything is monetized so heavily and is released a week after beta versions lol

" My name is Charlie, and these are my angels. " I think that explains everything regarding my feelings on locked classes. Diablo was early so I never thought to have a choice. D1 that archer could kill diablo from the hallway, just spam arrows into the room. I had 2 copies of D2+expansion so I could have a mule account for storing and swapping gear that I farmed. Ran 2nd copy on lame laptop. WoW was a dream. No char locks, still my fav crafting. The dk era and bots made me leave. Dwarf hi speed mt goats was my fav for collecting ore. Short wheelbase rarely got hung up in the terrain. PWI. I had so much fun in that game. I had a healer main so I could solo. If I could outheal the damage, I would win. I had some really long fights. I loved the dungeons and my fav thing was 3-D aerial combat cuz there were wings. I should have stayed. BnS. Best fighting system. Played frost FM from the get go. I play relaxed solo and events. The trick to that game is wait until they give you all the good gear when they level up gear/gem tiers. I just bailed. They completely fvcked the FM skills. That WAS my fun. I could pull, push, grab, throw, knock down or freeze stuff. Farming trash mobs was fast and funny. I occasionally bought premium and fashion for the ladies. I miss running pets. WoW I mained a hunter with a wolf and the rare black lion. I didn't main venomancer in pwi, but I ran one 2nd most, and that warlock in WoW juggling those curses and leeches and directing your summons, ready for a pet again.

All new classes oh my allot has changed since I've been there .. I still remember helping the design on the original first dungeon ... Re coloured and designed the dragon .. created some wings ect .. have a nice day and enjoy

Lots of people will flock due to nostalgia. Will probably die off in a year or two if the devs are money grubbing rats. Hopefully not though. A few more good MMOs in the market would be great.

Those animal transformations look a lot like those from Nioh 2. Framerate looks really bad though.

The Berserker gameplay looks fun to me. But I wouldn't play it if I have to play a big cat man.

Do you know what all that flashy combat feels like? A netcode hell with a lot of package loss and low ping required to properly combo.

Respects to you Arekkz Gaming but I'll never play another Arc - Perfect World game again. I learned my lesson on this company long ago.
The original perfect world was a pay 2 win nightmare, for example, their best gear was locked behind a paywall...
So I will approach this title with a lot of skepticism.

the game mechanics were amazing you could collect scrolls from every sect/School you went to
it had amazing dungeons to and compared to the time it came out it was really awesome
until it became pay to win and people left

If the classes take after its predecessor then they will mostly be race locked and eventually have their opposite gender equivalent except for the untamed race which will have gender locked classes.

I'm playing BDO and might play Blue Protocol a little bit. This is no BDO, but it looks very good for what it is and I'm looking forward to this more than Blue Protocol at this point. This looks like a cross between Kritika online and BDO which is right up my alley. Reminds me of the canceled original Project BBQ footage too.
