The Best Racing Swingarm for a Performance Bagger? Maybe... 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • The super lightweight and race inspired swingarm from Trask Performance checks off all the right boxes. If you're interested in purchasing the lightweight swingarm for your performance bagger check it out here: shop.traskperf...
Aside from being 5lbs more lightweight than the factory Street Glide swingarm, which weighs 20.4lbs without the axles, the Trask swingarm is much stronger, more rigid, and virtually eliminates the "death wobble" that Harley's have, especially the Street Glides, Road Kings and Road Glides. 🔥
Besides all the racing benefits these have, which by the way, this is the same swingarm used on the Trask Performance Race bike that Shane Narbonne uses to win races; it also looks super cool and really makes the bike look like a race machine. 😬
So let's get to the "meat and potato's" of what I think. If you're looking for the ultimate performance bagger and you're looking to get the most performance out of your machine, this is definitely the performance swingarm for you. It's nice too, which turns heads and gets you compliments. 😅
But... if you're on a super tight budget, I would not recommend for you to buy this swingarm. If I was on a budget I would rather save up another $2k and get a Trask Performance turbo kit. I think you'll get much more smiles and have a lot more fun with a turbo kit, than the Trask swingarm. 🤤🤘🏼
Or you can go all out like me and get both, because you work hard for your money and want the ultimate performance bagger. 😜
If you're in the Central Florida area and are looking for a great mechanic, the only person I trust with my bike is Chris over at Blockhead Moto Garage. For an install like the Trask Performance swingarm, you'll definitely want a qualified mechanic installing it if you don't have experience. If you're interested in booking service with Chris click this link and fill out the form: www.blockheadm...

New subscriber, really appreciate your video. Can you share other swing arms you researched before deciding on Trask? I’m considering an upgrade currently and have also researched Brock’s and Alloy Art.

The swing arm is “ unsprung weight” that’s why is makes such a big difference

I’m not sold on it being a good upgrade…. The oem swingarm is made to flex and in reality I’d be curious if the trask is stronger? A lot of places where stress can find itself with all the pieces but cosmetically looks good.

I noticed the shock mounts on the old swingarm are about 1.5 inch behind the axel center to get the ride hight correct on the trask arm the shock mount bracket hole needs to be in the most rear position, might help with your spring clearance also

    Michael,
not to get off topic of your swing arm,
but you were talking about new rear suspension.
I see you have legend shocks on the rear,
but I was wondering if you also ran their cartridges in the front forks ?
I have heard issues of the legend cartridges actually lowering the front suspension by 1 inch from stock.
I believe you have done something to your front suspension due to the fact you are missing your cans,
many people are on the fence of not running a fork boot or dust covers.
They talk about road dust and grime buildup on the fort tube and wearing the seals quicker.
But that’s to each his own,
I was just wondering about your new rear suspension coming or have I missed that episode,
And what exactly you did to the front forks.
Great job on your channel 👍

I've never been a fan of the Legend fronts. I have the stockers back in there now. But I will be going with a built front end soon.
My near rear setup video will be out this week. It's super super nice! 🤤🤘🏼

Beautiful swingarm! I noticed the inner spacers were still installed on your stock swingarm when you weighed it. Did you have to transfer those to the Trask? Or did you install a new set? Requires the bearing installer.

Should of spent the extra money on this swingarm, ordered a trac dynamic's raceglide Swingarm in October 21 still waiting and haven't heard anything or any reply from them since😏

    • @MichaelBertini
      @MichaelBertini  Před 2 lety +1

As you know, I won't sh*t on a brand, since I'm a small business owner myself. But, the brand you brought up was one of the brands I was referring to in the begging of the video.
It's not just the wait times for me, because people offered to send me said swingarm for free. I just can't promote brands or products to people that the customer service isn't what I would want.
I called up a few of these brands not mentioning any of the CZcams crap to them and I got some of 💩 customer service. When I call up Trask, everyone knows what they're talking about and I typically speak with Eric, and he always picks up or calls me back.
And that's wayyyyyyy before he even knew anything about my CZcams. Trask treats people like as if they're all ballers and I like that.
So that was a big reason I went with Trask. Good people with good customer service can get my dough that I work hard for. I'm sure you feel the same.🤘🏼

@@MichaelBertini Totally agree with you Michael.
As I'm in the same position as you as a Small Business owner too.
If I was info that there is a hold and a delay and kept up to date,I wouldn't mind.
But as to take your money then not been info or a reply in 6 months is pretty poor in my eyes.
Besides that haha, love the channel and
Looking forward to more content to came from you🤙
