This band is so so underrated, I hate when I bring them up and they just say "oh love is on the way?" It's like no man, the whole Lizard album is heavy and catchy, same with their first cd, and even the third record is good. Idk about the 4th one. I just found out about the 3rd and 4th records recently cause I just started going through my old tapes and found the Lizard and put it on and remembered how fucking good it is!!
3rd, 4th and 5th albums are easily as good as the first two (Water, Devil in the Details, and Bastards, respectively). Imo their overall best is Devil In The Details. Amazing song writers
Always loved that freaking pause in around the 44 min mark, trying to remember the name of the song (been awhile trying to jog my memory) but I always remember that pause LOL. The absence of brief sound has its place for sure.
Guy on drums, you bought your A game dude, seriously, if I ever need you for a war dance, I know who I'm calling *laughs. I was really impressed by your timing in the first song. Hearing this brings back memories. Jason is an interesting vocalist to hear for sure. He influenced me a great deal, he was just so different from many of the other singers out there, he could sing straight smooth, or yeah like what some other guy was saying about peppermint tribe is metal as hell, he can certainly meld styles really well. His lyrics just did a good job of hitting home certain points well.
My brothers ex-wife(from Florida) used to see them when they were just a club band. She said she hugged Matt Kramers red boots while he performed. Anyway.... Love their first three records.

Love is on the Way works better with an acoustic, someone might be able to make a mandolin sound really good on this type of song. That's just my personal preference of course.
LOL! The bass is louder in the mix and Matt is an awesome singer, but why the hell do so many singers cup the mic like they are singing into their hands?
@@rollergoalie16 dude i just been listening to that solo over and over. So catchy and melodic without being all flashy. Love this band. His guitar style had a lot of influence on me without me even knowing it until now. I used to have the cassette of the lizard and used to listen to it while i slept. He uses the Mixolydian scale a lot. I love that scale.
Matts voice changed a lot, Jason sounds amizing tho, I own the firsts albums water I think Jason sings on it, ive discovered them on a guitar for the practicing mucian article about jason, I bought the lizard and my mind was blowed up, then a friend gave me as a birthday present the first album, and omg was amazing, water is a great album but not as much as the lizard, any thoughts guys¡?
i like all albums except the "Bastards" album.I think, by then, SK was morphing into Supertransatlantic with a more "alternative" sound. To me, Saigon Kick is better when you can't put them in a category.
My understanding is that Bieler wanted to go all over the place with the music (i.e. Water), while Matt just wanted to rock, and split because the stuff Jason was writing was "pvssy sh!t."

Ronaldo Murphano they are amazing! I was right there shooting this with my friend..live is awesome
@@LunaLucky7 do they still tour? Hopefully they'll come to Cleveland soon.

Every one of their albums are top shelf
Saw them do this opening song at the button south in the early 90’s, still sticks in my head.
They are called a 'glam band' on Wikipedia. They are so not that. They are so much more.

Yeah he had a big influence on my guitar playing. I like how he mixed in the melodic catchy licks with flashy shit.

Sadly, it's not all original members. It's only Matt Kramer and Jason Bieler from the original band. Love 'em, nonetheless!
Would have been cool to see Phil on the kit. Great band!
peppermint tribe rocks

Oh boy, laughed so hard when he said 'this is Fort Lauderdale flip me off, true, can be a slightly unforgiving crowd at times LOL.

Soundman needs to turn that bass down...lol.

what's the name of the song at 31:35?
World Goes Round
World Goes Round. Great song from The Lizard record. Love Jason's solo on this track.
At least it's not like some of zeps titles that you usually couldn't figure out. At least it's in the chorus lol.

Who's on the other guitar
The guitar invited is the guy from mastodon?
I think it’s Stephen Gibb, son of the Bee Gee’s Barry Gibb.
Could be wrong, but I know he played with SK at one time and that looks like him.
Jason bieler a.k.a. Sadam Husein ??
Ha!
so much better than the DRUNK SINGER shit shows!!!
That loud almost ruins it
saigon kick wasnt as cool without kramer. i think bieler was a control freak or something
Exactly
