I'm still pretty new to Tarot and Oracle cards but The Enchanted Map Oracle is one of the first I got - really loving it for self reflection/exploration. The guidebook is superb! Honestly at first the imagery put me off a bit, but as I grow to love something I see a lot more beauty in it!
At the end of 5:01 Say NO MORE!!! I'm sold & getting this deck. I honestly feel it is a MUST have for my collection.

It must be depending on the family. I have noticed some people didn't read Alice in wonderland and other children stories when they were little. I thought it was very normal to know most of the stories but I learned past couple of years not everyone reads/know the stories.
Agreed! I watched the Disney movie, but had never read/encountered the stories directly. What a shame if I'd not experienced them my whole life!? 😮

Yep, if baba does a book, get the book. I read every page of the Victorian Romantic book...it's great background on the art. I lucked out when I got the Fantastic Menagerie book with the deck...it's got stories about the original artwork through actual interviews with the artist...just finally broke down and bought the Alice/book/and I actually went with a scarf...because, I dig it.

I haven't grown up with Alice so I don't feel as drawn to the theme as most people do...but out of all the Alice Tarot decks I have seen this is definately the one that I would buy... I have to admit though that I am really interested in the guidebook!It looks super interesting!
I have and love the Enchanted Map oracle...to be honest I'm not very keen on this style of artwork...but it is such a great reader....same as the Wisdom of the Oracle!
I didn't really grow up with Alice either... but man this deck was such a pure joy to work with and the guidebook makes the Alice stories accessible to all. I'm glad I read the originals by Lewis Carroll in full before I got the deck, and glad that there is abridged versions in the guidebook to re-read quickly. I hear you on the Enchanted Map - something about it just works so well!

Yes, i have the Alice Tarot and book....havent finished reading everything, but i did start from the back reading the stories. I had to buy the movie, the Jonny Depp version, so im like you and never having read the stories. Yes pricey for sure with the book! And i do have the Enchanted Map, mine is the 2011 publication with gold guilding, same with her other one the wisdom of the Oracle, both have the gold guilding...got these way back when before i even read tarot. But never actually used them. Excited to see what u think of the Dream Raven. I did trim mine. I can handle a large deck for riffle shuffling IF the card stock permits, this didn't, so i hacked of the borders. I can post a pic on your fb page if you want to see how it looks. I LOVE LOVE the bright colours!

Yes! I just got my Alice deck as well last week and I really adore it! I read the stories just before it came. It is really a pricey deck but so well worth it. My husband got it f me for early mothers day gift and unbirthday gift as well cuz it isn't until June lol. It will be my favourite deck!!!!!! I have the bohemian gothic tarot but I wish they made a companion book as well. Did they made one? If they didn't, they should.

There was a companion book to the Bohemian Gothic but it's hard to find now. There's been some chit-chat about them reprinting the book, I THINK. :) Sometimes you can find used copies online. I've tried and haven't had much luck. There is also an app for the deck on the Amazon app store I think that contains the full guidebook.
I hope that they will make one again in the book form. I will look into the app. Thanks
Love the deck, way out of my price range though. : ( Thank you though for the walktrough of torture. LOL I love walkthroughs to see if the deck with mesh with me.

Haha! Welp. I broke up with Dream Raven right after this vid and bought the Crow Tarot so...... 😂
I might give it another shot this week though. We shall see!
