    You were not wrong about the museum you were looking for at 29:26 : it is the Musée d'Orsay, and it's only open since 1986, before that it was a train station, the Gare d'Orsay you showed. Your map is from 1922 so it's normal we don't see the museum but the train station ✨(also, i really enjoyed this video, very calming and you kept me really focused on your movements!)

    • @MelangeASMR
      @MelangeASMR  Před 2 lety +4

      Hey there, thank you for the kind words and the info - I went to Paris and then did another video on the train stations a few months later and that's when the penny dropped haha. And I loved the Musée d'Orsay, the hall really is gorgeous.

    I was pleasantly surprised to see that Tartaria as marked on your European map is in the south of modern day Ukraine. This is much further west than a lot of other old maps and makes great sense to me. Feeds in very well with the very earliest Aryan migrations going WEST to EAST rather than the modern day history saying places like Ireland were populated via east to west migrations.
    Another wonderful Austrian ASMR treat on very interesting maps. Thank You.

    Hi!!! Love your videos. Broadway cuts through the grid because it predates it, and since it was such a heavily traveled road when they were laying out the grid they decided to keep it
    Also “Long island R.R. Ferry” is the ferry to the Long Island railroad’s terminal in Long Island city, since they didn’t have a way to get into Manhattan at the time.
