Every Todd “Scratch” Mortenson Appearance in the Ghost and Molly McGee

- Ever wonder where we’ve seen Scratch’s shell body throughout the two seasons of The Ghost and Molly McGee????
I’ve organized every clip (up until The End) of Todd sightings once it was confirmed Scratch was Todd’s wraith.
It's ironic. He's the most faded and muted character, which would make you think he'd be less noticeable.. until, you realize how colourful everyone else is. Just like Molly's body when she was a wraith.
Yeah it’s also super ironic that despite how much he actually appeared in the show, I don’t actually remember seeing him that much
@ToonyTails *yeah I don't recall seeing him at all but now when I see him I feel like I've seen him alot, I guess he's just so blended Into the background that I never clearly seen him, now sense he's important I can see him now,*
😢 it's exactly what hit home most at the finale and now we look back wondering how did we miss him?!
We actually see him a lot because he’s scratch the ghost😂😂😂😅
We actually see him a lot because he’s scratch the ghost😂😂😂😅
1:15 Scratch: I mean, look at this guy. 1:17 Zero spirit. 1:18 It’s like he has no soul.
Me: He doesn’t know the half of it.
Or remember it
Well, that's some grade A foreshadowing if I've ever seen it.
They did amazing with that foreshadowing. 👏
That part caught me off guard, they really foreshadowed that far back
Wow, I feel at this point it should be obvious by all these hints
1:18 “like he has no soul” FORESHADOWING 😭😭
All of the Todd Mortensen scenes before it was revealed that he was Scratch's human body without his soul. Molly and Scratch have even interacted with Todd without realizing the truth. Not to mention some foreshadowing from Scratch himself. I'm glad that Scratch was able to return to his life as Todd, and live a more fulfilling life.
It's kinda obvious when you realize Scratch and Todd have the same voice actor
@@jordanloux3883 Sometimes, having the same voice actor in the same show isn't a clear indication of two characters being the same person.
@@jordanloux3883 Sometimes that's a hint, but it's not always the case since voice actors can voice multiple characters, especially when the studio is working on a limited budget or if the VA is talented enough to make each voice distinct (Todd and Scratch don't exactly sound the same.)
@@jordanloux3883 your logic has just made countless of characters merge into 1 character XD
By your logic Grunkle Stan, Soos, Old Man McGucket, Bill Cipher are all one person
@@StareachValcin Emmet: Wait, if you're me. Why do we sound so different?
Rex: (Perfectly Imitating Emmet's voice because they're both voiced by Chris Pratt) Why do we sound so different?
Can’t believe I never realized it until the finale
Tbf, we didn't know it was a possibility until then, which isn't a bad thing since it wasn't out of place as a concept, just something we all failed to consider as a possibility since Wraiths aren't all that different from regular ghosts in this verse. Really cool to realize all the hinting was there though and that Todd isn't just some rando they threw in at the end.
@@homerman76 i had heard the theory but was hoping it wasn't true i kind of dislike it from a story standpoint
@@apirlfools ah with how they promised to be forever together?
0:30 bro was smiling for 2.3 seconds
Oh I didn’t even notice. That just provides more evidence to my question
I guess soulless people ain’t that dead inside 😂🤷♂️.
My theory is that the body was out a soul for so long, it very very very slowly was gaining it's own artificial conscience.
@@widdlepocketmarcy
Either that or, even without a soul, there's still sort of a string of connection between the spirit and the body, like maybe on the days Scratch is happier Todd is a little less depressed too.
Mmm cups
🥤🥤
🙂🫴
The fact we never noticed him really is so in point with what the plot wanted.... huge props to the writers
Many people noticed and theorized this way before the reveal
@@aydencahoon6557Good for those people
Todd didn't get any latkes but at least Scratch did. Todd ate them... IN SPIRIT...
Wait, scratch stole the latkes from himself
I’m pretty sure those are the first time. The phrase in spirit has ever been used to mean something literal.
@@SnickerDoodleBug05Yeah he did technically.
Scratch stole food from himself lol
Scratch tossed a sandwich in his own pants to cover for jynx investigation. That's commitment.
The foreshadowing is genius.
This right here is good foreshadowing just as Gravity Falls foreshadowings!
0:02 Man just look how depressed he looks in that 1st clip. Defiantly seemed to get a l lot more expressive as the show went on. At least more expressive than the other human shells we’ve seen in the show. Which is strange since everyone else can only seem to express depression meanwhile Todd here was able to express other emotions such as disappointment and fear. I wonder why that is.
In Double, Double Darryl Trouble, human shells are shown to be very impressionable and always do what they’re told by others. My guess as to why Todd gets less stolid overtime is because since human shells have no soul, they try to mimic the behavior of humans with souls. That would explain why Todd’s expressions seem more like an act rather than anything genuine.
@@thefunnestaccount5632 It also seems to explain why he tends to just say what he feels rather than express it on his face or tone of voice. Which leads to his comments to seem very sarcastic and backhanded.
I think it’s because his case was more natural, which might also be why Scratch’s eyes were yellow. Man literally died inside.
@@_Iscream How does scratch’s eye colour correlate to this?
@@_Iscream He's also been that way for a lot longer so the shell has had more time to evolve
1:17 Forshadowing at its finesd
I thought they did it better with the monkey wearing his suit and tie.
@@mesousagaby740 huh
@@mesousagaby740 sry I don't get it
Even though Todd is Scratch, you really can't tell with his voice
0:31 the poor mayor😭😭
I didn't even remember him throughout the series until the final ep. if I had been more aware I would've realized he and Scratch have the same facial features. Especially the nose.
I don't know if anyone will believe me but I saw this coming ever since the episode Molly turned wraith.
Everyone did
How? I didn't notice at all
Honestly it was kinda obvious
@fantasy-artist4425 not for all apparently. Well it's good that way too. Get surprised
@@otarimuradishvili5540 I was honestly 50/50 on the whole thing
I love and hate the fact they threw it in our faces many times and we never noticed
I knew they were at least related, but that was it.
He was pretty much in plain sight
Hell he even looked like scratch
This hurts in hindsight. He was in pain the whole time and we didn’t noticed. 😢
the fact bro got robbed by himself several times is crazy
When scratch said look at this guy it’s like he has no soul that is some genius writing right there
The cups were probably the best example of foreshadowing in the series
0:19 The fact the voice of Remmy is doing so much Disney shows lol
I'm gonna animate Remy saying his lines now
I did thought it was him but the thing that stopped me from thinking about it was because both Molly and scratch have seen him an interacted with him but they didn't say anything or question on why he looks so similar to scratch
Probably because he’s so muted and sad-looking that no one really noticed him in general. Also with how Todd was so emotionless and boring and how Scratch was the complete opposite, it was really hard to draw the connection. Also there really could have been a chance where Todd WAS just a normal human that happened to look a lot like Scratch. I mean just look at Scratch’s intern from that one episode, he also looked a lot like scratch but he only ever showed up in that one episode.
Thanks for organizing all those clips
I figured it out the whole time scratch was Todd all along in every episode of this show
Dude they were trying so hard to show up with that frame 0:35
To be fair, the nose was kinda a dead giveaway
He debuted in season 1.
holy shit he was in the show before the final episode?!?! i never noticed him before lol
Ghost dissed himself. Took Drake's line " if you wasn't you, you'd be dissing you dawg" on another field
BEST "NEW" CZcams VIDEO IN THE UNIVERSE
Gives a whole new meaning to hiding in plain sight!
For some reason I "knew" he was him
You know a show was good, when you completely miss the guy who blatantly looks like Scratch, goes completely unnoticed until the last episode and then you feel like a complete idiot when it's revealed... goodness I love this show!!!!
Damn, good catch with Todd being the one that splashed them in the pot hole!
I just realized the monkey was symbolic of Scratch/Todd feeling trapped as a office monkey
OMG, I’ve never noticed that
Man the foreshadowing was crazy ngl
It was always right in front of us…We just never saw it!
HOW DID I NOT PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER??????
I LOVE IT A LOT
Now this was a clever build up. Did not see it coming.
Right under our noses.
0:37 THIS
i Miss This Show So So Much First Amfibia Then The Owl house Now The Ghost And Molly Mcgee Big City Greens is the only one Left if you know what i mean
Aww poor Todd 😢
In Finale Scratch possessed that guy 😢😢😢😢
You mean scratch goes back to his body
This is his fate
0:36 Okay now they really were showing it straight to ur faces uh. Like come on THEY WERE RIGHT THERE
I only figured it out because someone pointed it out during the season 1 finale AND said that Todd and Scratch share the same VA as well as looking alike
I so didn't know that Todd was in the car in the Perfect Day episode.
I need the full story about Stu’s 8th birthday party.
Me too! I guess Todd brought cups and no present? Or he came just for the food.
@@brittanycoccia366Really sounds like something Scratch would do. Which is poetic since Scratch IS Todd
@@brittanycoccia366Prolly stacking cups
i legit called it because whenever i first saw this background character up close i was like "okay that looks like scratch. what if he didnt actually die and it was that moving out of body thing"
i screamed when the last episode came out 😭
I'm really sad it's over 🥺
Biggest twist
Something tells me that they missed an opportunity. Did Todd need Scratch?
After watching the finale, his depression makes even more sense
Wait What!? He was in other episodes too?
Wow I completely missed that.
Yeah, he was more or less just a background character.

This looks like Carl from Up.
I didn’t realize it!
"I'm elated. 😑" is killing me
Oh man, I didn’t even notice all those Todd appearances before! He looks so bored in all of them😒
Scratch:it like he has no soul *no soul* todd:i feel miserable..
1:17 FORESHADOWING???
you poor thing 😭😭😭
He's been there. The whole time.
He sounds like bill belichick
time line of same time 2021 so Todd been in slow mo was even before molly enter town
Why did I hear deltarune for a second??
I LOVE TODD MORTENSON
There might be a prequel/midquel/scene-quel television movie (see my playlist on my channel about The Ghost and Molly McGee) about Todd Mortenson's life even before the events of The Ghost and Molly McGee TV series as I was inspired by the events of the episode 'The End'. After watching Todd here, I think fans deserve this after what happened to this show ending too soon. It may be similar to The Lion King 1 1/2 (2004), the childhood friends of Todd/Scratch and Adia Williams to Up (2009) with a few Disney nods to it and having surprise elements to the ending of the television movie.
I still can’t believe that Scratch shoved a sandwich down his own pants!
Wow he was there the whole time I still don’t believe it
FAME TOWN USA, AND I LOVE IT A LOT
Todd Drives a Ford Tempo confirmed
1:17 the way i didnt realise this was foreshadowing lol

That big nose of Scratch clearly gave it away 👃
Holy fuck right in plain sight for two seasons
Unrelated, but did they secretly sweep away the lesbian teachers in season 2? I don't recall seeing them interact with anybody after season 1
No way
1:08 did they just say their a lady?
I dont watch this show. Can someone explain the monkey?
He was a “work monkey”
Im pretty sure it’s supposed represent Todd (Scratch’s human body)
Sooo the Monkey in All In the Mind was meant to be Scratch. And the reason why he was a monkey is because he couldn’t remember his old face so his subconscious imagined his human body as a monkey… odd choice for a body
Not when you consider that Todd was an "office monkey" - a term for a subordinate employee who works in an office.
Hazbin
okay but why monkey is Todd
Honestly, the two things that put me off are that they fixated on the date of production for the soda, and that Todd's design looks like he should have a deeper voice.
So I was assuming that Scrath would be Todd's father, or something. That Scratch was going to have to apply the lessons he learned with Molly, Darryl and their friends and to be a good father and help this random man overcome some latent woe from a negligent, dead father. (This show has such a big focus on Family, after all- surely that's what they were doing, right?)
And then I got confused when Adia wasn't Scratch's spouse, and there was no apparent family in the equation.
Even in the end, Scratch's voice coming out of that big a man, with no shift in tone or pitch, just feels so damn weird to me. He sounds like his talking voice is so much deeper pre-soul-return, so I don't get why they didn't marry the two.
Just a strange character design/directorial choice, IMO.
If his design was a bit different, I think it would have made more sense to me.
Being a boring old man with no purpose doesn't mean you lost your soul.......
i dont watch this but
Scratch just INSULTED himself 1:16
